    Default Hooray to Stripping

I think it's time to give a hooray to stripping... sometimes it's hard work but it's usually great or we wouldn't be doing it, right? The benefits always outweigh the hardships and I think we need to focus more on the good than the bad. It's so easy to talk about what makes us unhappy, but how often do we just exclaim our joy? Like when you talk to a girlfriend who's having problems with her man, all you hear is the bad stuff, but she wouldn't be with him unless he made her feel good sometimes too. I just think if we're going to do something, we do it because there's something about it that we like, and so I'm here giving a hooray to stripping because it's given me a lot.

Amen. I found myself in the position of being a broke single mother of 2 little children. I never imagined I would ever be an exotic dancer. But thats what I did. I didnt need any welfare from the government. My children didnt go without anything. My raggedy car broke down, I went and bought another one, paid in full - cash. Never had to make payments on anything, never had any debt.

It gave us a good life and I am grateful to the many men who first of all treated me like a princess, and shared a little of their wealth with me!! I even had a regular bring in a big bagful of kids toys one Xmas for me to give to my children!!

I saw a TV special when I was a wee tot. Right then and there, I knew that was what I wanted to be. A stripper.
But in my family, no, no, no. So, I went on through high school, practically date less, never went to the senior prom. Was invited, but hated the only guy who asked me. So, I said no. He went with some one else. From then, it was on to college, got my technical degree, engineering tech.
Yeah, when every body was jamming it up at school, I was the studious, little miss nobody who did everybody's home work. For a fee.
And I finally graduated, went and got a job, a consturciton job building bridges. After numerous requests for dates, all of which I turned down, I had my first sex experience with a girl that worked at a bar I went to one night. I mean I had never been to a bar.before in my life. And here I am 22, got a two year degree, making some what of a good living, and no sex life.
And so, when the girl began talking to me, I listened, went back, and went back and went back. Finally she invites me to her apartment and the rest is history.

Eventually left my old job, followed my friend to her new job. Found a man at my stripping job, stayed married for three weeks and got divorced.

And here I am now, a stripper. The last few years has been a hum dinger.

Oh, well, should have been one earlier. And when I retire, I hope it will be a while I won't worry about what job I can go to . I would already have the training.

Yeah, I did everything ass backwards, but that is just me.
    Unimititable. Me.

despite the initial difficulties i had with dancing, it paid off my credit card debt from my undergrad years, and helped provide the means for me to start grad school and support myself before landing a job i wanted. thus, overall, it helped me and was the means to an end. had i not danced, my life would have been harder in some ways. still....i wish i had known all i do now when i first started (for example i would have avoided stupid drugs).

essentially, i have no regrets....but there are some things i would have done differently. i can't really say i "loved" the job though. i do appreciate that it saved me from minimum wage/60 hr work week hell though. and it made me more comforable with myself, and gave me sales skills that can be applied elsewhere. and lets not forget the people skills. and i met some cool girls.

Right on, a big hooray! I'm hoping that stripping will get me out of debt a lot more quickly than I would without it, and I've already discovered that it frees me up to travel! Hooray for the clubs and the good customers, and the fascinating people I've met so far as a naked girl.

    Well, I was born. Yeah.
Then wondering through life and eventually wanted something to be soemthing which would make me a reasonalbe amount of money while using the female body which I was born with. Then like Buddha sitting under the bodhi tree, it struck me. Like a mountain thunderbolt it struck me.

Hot damn, hot diggety damn, that is right, that is the way, the way to salvation, the way to enlightment, yeah, yeah, yeah, I WANT TO BE A STRIPPER!!!!!

Oh, what wonderful joy filled my heart, my mind and my pocket book.

Oh, lord, I believe, I believe, help thou my unbelief, I see it now, I see it now

Oh what beautieous rapture, hearing all the wonderful coins of money and
    the swindling of stupid mankind.

Come, come, come, hear the sermon on the SC. Hear and be saved all you
sinful and fearful men. Come to the club and be saved.

And this weekend, we are running a three fore one special. ease your soul ,
yes, ease it. Just $20 for the lap dance of you mind, experience such
euphoria, such as you have never ever seen.

Come, come, and be saved. You faithful jerkoff. Yes and give glad tidings.

Thank the almighty STRIPPER, THE GODDESS, upon whose feet we fall
and reverently worship. Thank the stripper.

Thank and give thanks and prayer to the Goddess. Yes.

    Hip hip hooray!

Broke and tired of living on ramen noodles due to medical expense, my roommate suggested I give it a shot.

"You're pretty, youcan dance and your broke" she said. (She herself has never danced but worked with a girl that danced part time)

So I borrowed toll money to get across town to audition.

Eight years later it has changed my life. I found that my parents will support my decisions and be proud of me and what I do, I realize I am extremely lucky in that respect.

I've met many interesting people and made a few really good friends.

But best of all, I met my husband, which is without a doubt the best thing that has EVER happened to me!

Always said I'd be a doctor and a stripper, since age 4.

Started college, got broke, thought about doing it, and finally started a few months later even though I wasn't exactly broke anymore. The immediate income increase came as such a shock that I actually ended up getting even more broke from insane spending (something I vowed not to do). I stopped going to classes too and got kicked out of school at the end of my freshman year.

Just when I start gaining responsibility with the money and working on getting out of debt, I get pregnant. Here I am now, 9 weeks pregnant, broke, and already getting fat somehow. Still, I'm gonna go in one or two nights this week to get myself a few hundred to hold me until I start getting paid with my straight job.

What I love about dancing? A year from now, I can go back. I will always have something to fall back on. And I plan to. This job supports so many single mothers and struggling families. It gives people hope when they think all is lost (that's how much control money has over us). It gives people self esteem when they have none. As diffiult as it is, I love this job!

My favorite thing in the world is travel, and 2 yrs ago I was a full time bartender, with a set schedule which meant I could maybe occasionally get a long weekend, if I was willing to loose weekend $$$. So I saved up, took off and started to travel around the world supplementing my income at different times dancing. Sure I have had those nights on the other side of the world that was shit and I have never felt more alone and I longed for a hug and my comfy little normal job in a familiar place where people dont look down at your job and where I felt responsible(I am 31 now and feel I should settle down at some point) and cried and said what the fuck am I doing? But then I had those nights and experiences that I wouldnt give up for the world. The stories alone from the clubs are priceless...will have to write a book, and when I would come home to the US I always missed it, and the MANY MANY lovely girls I have worked with as well. Most customer have also said if they were a chick and could travel and make $$ they would do it in an instant. Nothing like going on Vacation and coming home with $$ (ahem, just kidding customs agents or immigration. ) SO.... my long winded point is dancing has given me the chance to do what I love for a while. I'm really ready to settle down now, but I feel that travel urge bubbling up again and just got an email from my last club manager in Australia wanting to know when I am coming back.
    Maybe just one more time

Stripping has been a godsend for me in so many ways, at this point in my life, I couldn't see myself doing anything else.

When working at normal office jobs (secretary, receptionnist, phone operator, etc.) I was always miserable and bored with my work not to mention depressed about the paycheck I'd get for the effort and hours I put in. I ended up switching jobs often because after a few weeks or months at one boring place, I had reached the end of my rope and couldn't take the mundane demeaning crap anymore! Having previously worked in the adult industry and enjoyed it's perks, regular jobs sucked rocks in comparison. That said though, I was fully retired from any "service" aspect of the adult industry and didn't want to return to it.

Then the idea of stripping came back to mind and really piqued my interest, it seemed the perfect solution to my income problems and I looked into it further. It wasn't long before I found this site with it's wonderful members and great info to help me get started.

Since day one, stripping has been a great experience. The pros outweigh the cons right out of the water for me, lol!
    - I enjoy the work. I've always had a bit of an exhibitionnist side to me as well as a desire to perform. Every time I work, I get to satisfy both with my stage time and private dances!
    - The flexibility perks are awesome. I don't have a set schedule, just show up when I want to work. The club has never even bothered to ask for any contact info. How much better can it get? lol
    - The money is great and fast. 90% of the time, I make a week's worth of office salary in one shift or more. And I have the cash in hand at the end of my shift. No waiting 2 weeks for a paycheck.
    - Best and most motivating exercise I've ever done. Especially after purchasing my own pole and online lessons. I've never enjoyed exercising so much in my life, in fact I've always hated it before now. My dancing and pole exercises are a fun way to keep in shape as well as improve my work performances and stamina. Of course, toning up and looking better are a major plus too!
    - Working conditions are the best. I can take a break when I want to and work at the pace I prefer without hassle. As long as I do my stage sets when required and follow the club rules, management is happy.

Yep, I'm a very happy stripper right now

I definately say HOORAY for stripping!

With it I finally managed to have the guts to get off The Dole and never look back. Even when I have hit 'hard times'... I have been okay. I love how I am my own boss! I have learnt more about business than I ever would have if I stayed an employee (hospitality - food & beverage mostly).

I love how I don't have to work 40 hour weeks however if I wanted to (ie Skimpy work) then it is totally worth it (a higher per hour wage).

I know how to small talk and initiate conversations... I can go to a party and not be a wall flower and stick to the food table. I can travel with my work ... I've seen alot of my own country that I wouldn't have seen if I stayed in my previous employment. Not to mention that I could afford to go to Vegas ALL BY MYSELF for 5 nights (the min. required stay) two years ago thanks to this business. This was a big deal as whilst I had been within my own country by myself.. I had never been overseas so far from home by myself.

Whenever I have been without work it hasn't been for long periods of time unlike my previous employment. I am more in charge of my life.

It has given me opportunities that would not have come my way if I didn't make the fate-ful decision after my first Indy (four Indys ago now lol!) to stay with it.

Not to mention - Slave Leia - my moment.. the centerfold, the costume, everything. Ah.. that was great times! Only lasted a second (as such) yet stripping gave the income to buy the costume, the confidence to carry it and the opportunity for that centerfold.

Whilst I may not always be able to be so up-front about what I do for a living due to other people having a problem with it not me (my father would much prefer I was less public about it all).

I'm hoping that stripping will give me the opportunity to start a few businesses so that I can start to rely less on the stripping for income. Then thru the businesses, invest so that I never really have to 'work' again (have the money work for me instead of vice versa like it is now).

Without stripping, I wouldn't have the financial knowledge that I do nor the sales skills I can take with me anywhere.

It have learnt alot about myself and humanity thanks to this business... not always good however I'm not naive anymore.

In the end, it has been a positive influence in my life more than negative. Hooray!

(Just a quirky fact I love to share with people - my first ever night stripping was Sept 12 which was Sept 11 for the US.. a fateful day.)

stripping is the ONLY way to raise kids without help. it bought me a farm and built me a herd of really nice dairy goats, named, of course "the dancer's herd", so i can have all the healthy milk and butter and cheese and organic meat and veggies, got my kids backstage passes to concerts with big name rock groups, they even got to ride to the concerts in some of the bands' buses, it will finance my cheese plant so i can distribute this good food, and it buys me a HUGE attitude. i will soon be a great grandma and i can still dance??!!!! oh yeah.....what other job can make you feel so arrogantly sure of yourself? the money is rivaled only by the self confidence the job inspires. i tell young women that i counsel to dance for one month before they get married. and i tell them sexy isn't doing it, it's being asked to do it so often that you can afford to say no. love all ya'all. keep dancin'. woman power!!! dancing is difinitely my definition of womens' lib.
