Default Not sure if this goes here..

I just have to get this off of my chest.

I hope I can talk about this here..just need to vent.

Anyway, I sell personal poles on ebay to help me save up for a breast aug and pay for my kids schooling. Another company, selling a brand similar to the one I'm selling is "bashing" us in a round about way ever since they saw us as a threat.

They have already had one of my auctions removed, so I fixed it, and relisted it. I have a sneaking suspicion that they may be emailing bidders and telling them lies.

I'm not sure what to do. They are trying to say that theirs is the only safe one and profesionals and instructors don't use types like ours..which is not true because there are professional dancers using the ones I'm selling. AND, I wouldn't sell something if I didn't think it was safe and if I didn't use it also

I'm just worried they are being unethical. I've never run across this before. I used to make and sell silk baby slings, and my competition were always VERY nice and supportive! Some even sent customers my way, as I did for them? So what's the deal with guy???

    Rant over

Well the first thing you need to do is go on ebay forums and do a search for your business name. There could be stuff written about you there...

I dunno, if I end up buying one off ebay, I'll buy from you post your ebay name in your profile that way I'll be able to find it if the time ever comes.
The only way you can beat them is w/good business and good reviews. If they keep complaining about you, ebay will kick them out.

Lets do a sting operation!! I have lots of good feedback on ebay, I'll be the decoy. (rubs hands together exctiedly)

I will email the competing vendor a question asking them to compare your product with theirs. Then you will know what they say about you.

    K?

LOL 242! I just had a picture of Mr Burns (the simpsons), tapping his fingers together saying "EEEXCLEENT".

But in all seriousness, that'd be awesome! (do you know who I'm speaking of?) I've even contemplated putting up a bogus bid under a different name and seeing if they send me an email to me. I know people that have done that before, trying to steal customers.

Susie, they are coming out and saying WHO they are talking about, but it's VERY clear to me..seeing as how since I've come on the scene in the last few weeks, they've spruced up their auction, changed/added wording to it a few times, essentially slamming us in a way without saying our name. I KNOW they are threatened by me..mainly cause it's essentially the same pole, but I can offer it cheaper than them...I could charge as much as them, but I don't want to...I love inexpensive things! I'm a cheapo! lol

OH, and I'll go see if I can add my ebay user name to my profile..thanks!

One of the first things you should do is make the bidding PRIVATE. That way, no one but you can see who's bidding. If people ask you why you make your bidding private (most never do) you just tell them that you've heard of some of your bidder's getting spammed by other similar companies. No biggie.

However, if they ARE emailing/bashing you to your potential customers (meaning people who actually bid on your stuff) that is against Ebay policy and they will be removed.

I've sold stuff on eBay and most of my auctions are private. It's usually best to do that with any products that are adult-related or very expensive items.

    I hope that fixes things.
