Default A few questions from a newbie

Hello Everyone!! I am 18 years old and curious about what it's like to be a stripper. I have had a few jobs...supermarket, fast food...etc...the pay was awful 6.75 an hour wasn't getting me anything. I'll be going to college soon, and I am really interested in dancing on nights and weekends. I just have a few questions about it before I decide to audition. Any help would be appreciated
My first is, Are all clubs nude or topless?? I just wouldn't feel comfortable going topless...not for a long while anyway.
-Are Lap dances mandatory? I feel pretty confident about dancing onstage, but I don't know if I would be good at a lap dance.
-If you're on the stage with other girls, does the money get split evenly?
-Do you always have to dance slow..even to fast songs? I can picture myself getting nervous and going all fast lol.
Can someone who has been dancing for a while just tell me what an average day is like? Would you be happier working somewhere else? Is the pay usually enough to cover rent and bills? What are the pros and cons? Just anything you can tell me about the business will be helpful. I want to know everytthing before I make a decision. Thanx in advance for the help

Please read the Newbie FAQ at the top of this section and browse through the site; it should help answer most of your questions . . .

Yes, most clubs are nude or topless. To strip generally means to arrive at a state of undress.

Lap/table/couch dances are only mandatory if you want to make money. 90% of us work in clubs where stage money is not the majority of our income.

If you're on the stage with other girls generally you keep the tips you are given.

As far as the rest of your questions, please, please take a look around the site. Most of your questions have been asked many times, which is why there is the Newbie FAQ.
