    Default Lush BIG shampoo

Well; my man is FINALLY making the big bucks DJing; so I broke down and ordered BIG shampoo from Lush and American Dream Conditioner; with Husan We treatment for extra help when I need it. My hair was already in pretty good condition (my baby boy just turned 2; so coming off the pregnancy hormone boost) and the only damage I inflict is color since I haven't worked in over 2 years (except 3 notable exceptions--ek). I like to change it up so my hair doesn't get tired of stuff; but always before have returned to Biolage conditioning balm when I'm in hair trouble.
Well; so far pretty good! The hair treatment isn't anything to shout about except the smell (STRONG cinnamon...I put it on just for that sometimes)but the shampoo has done wonders for my scalp. After using it several times it seems my hair is a little less prone to break and has more body (I have long; fine hair but alot of it) I liked the fact that it took all the buildup out of my hair without making it dry out (squeaky clean; but it does not look dry).Gave me a bit of shine, too. I was so impressed with that I made my man try it on his (sorry) greasy; fine; dandruff hair---and it fixed it!! No more tar shampoo; etc. I hate to admit I also rubbed a bit into my son's scalp to get rid of the cradle cap buildup he had--that worked too! He did not have a bad reaction.
The American Dream conditioner is a light one; and good for those days when I need my hair to have some body. I switch it up with my heavier conditoners and am pretty satisfied with it.
Just ordered Dream Cream moisturiser; I'll post about that when I get.

I am a big fan of redken's anti-snap; I put that on my hair every time after I wash and it seems to be doing the job...I had heard a few raves about it; and then when I bought it the girl at the shop (Trade Secret) told me to keep using it; that I wouldn't see that many effects immediately but later on down the road I would. My hair has stayed in pretty good condition and I have been using it for at least 6 months.
I also switch up in the shower from Biolage conditioner to Goldwell's thermasilk....not especially great but gives my hair a good break without unduly weighing it down.
I don't know if this is having any effect;but a girlfriend of mine swears by Melaluca's balancing conditoner (one of those companies where you sign on to sell their stuff). My husband likes it too. My girlfriend thinks it is helping her hair grow; and since mine is doing so well I won't naysay that...hard to tell. Again; that is an in shower conditioner; so haven't tried leaving it on.
My hair just drinks up Paul Mitchell's Straight works but when I first got it before my pregnancy it weighed my hair down something fierce.
I'm dying to try Bumble&Bumble's Tonic so if I do I'll let you know....

My husband is a huge fan of the Big shampoo; he is the one who turned me on to them when he brought their shaving cream home from Canada before they had U.S. shops. fortunately, we just moved about ten blocks from a Lush shop so we can indulge our love for their stuff more frequently. I really like their solid shampoo and conditioner bars; they work well and when you travel it's one less thing to potentially leak in your suitcase.

Ohh you lucky woman!! It takes about two and a half weeks to ship here (NC) since the nearest shop is in (I think) NY. They sent me a coupon for Buy one get one free of their top five products so I JUMPED on that. Do you have any opinion on Retread? or Rehab? I thought about trying that next.

Definately - I *swear* by Redken's Antisnap. What a great product. I bleach my hair and using that in combo with Redken's So Soft shampoo and conditioner line has let me grow it out really long despite the bleach. Love it!

I haven't tried the so soft line yet..maybe I'll give it a whirl. I don't exactly bleach my hair since it is natually a dirty blonde/light brown; but a decent amount of lightening does go on it.
Had a hard time breaking the round brush habit too...now I only use it occasionally. That gave me a huge amount of breakage.
