    Default nightly shower...blah

I have never taken so many showers a week in my life. Soon as I walk in the door, exhausted,at 3:45 am i gotta jump in the shower. Its not nice laying down next to my man smelling like an ashtray and sex and dust,so I have to wash my hair EVERY nighht. Which isn;t good. Is there a good shampoo you guys use to protect the hair because mine is so dry now from washing al the time. ot to mention I cant do a thing with it.Thanx girls

instead of washing every night, you could condition (with a good conditioner) every other night....alternate between this and washing. the conditioner and the rinse might remove the smell that bothers you without drying your hair.....even spray in a leave-in conditioner after too...hope you find something that works!

There are a few products out there that are designed to take the stinky smell out of your hair. I know salon selectives makes one and it's cheap. It comes in a clear spray bottle and the prodict is blue-ish.

Or you could jsut shampoo everynight. I would reccommend a gentle shampoo like a baby shampoo or pantene shampoo/conditioner in one. Most pro products will be too cleansing and although it's ok to shampoo everyday, this WILL increases dryness.

Nothing will take the smell out better than washing it. Just be GENTLE and don't matt it all up on top of your head while shapooing. Just one quick lather then rinse in cooler water.

this may sound ghetto but I only wash mine every OTHER day bc it is so drying. in between i will spray in some, just a tad, of spray to freshen it up. but I know the smoke and dust smell you are talking about and it's foul ! I don't knw if a little body spray would just make it worse.

You can spray plain white or apple cider vinegar in your hair to deodorize, I don't think it's drying...and it won't stink like vinegar because your body heat dries it quickly.
A good cheap moisturizing shampoo is Aussie Moist Shampoo, for dry/damaged hair- it's in a purple bottle, under $3. I really like it.

I agree with just using conditioner every other night...it will still clean your hair a bit (like using cold cream to remove makeup), and won't dry it out.
