Here's a weird ? for ya.... I cant do a split. Of any kind. Never could. Even when I took gymnastics classes.
Now, when I'm on stage, I can bring one foot up over my head on the pole, but only when using the pole as a sort of leverage. I hook the space between my heel and platform arond the pole and push up until My leg is straight up against the pole. It makes me flexible, but I still cant get anywhere near a split. Not even close. It bugs me to death.
I know I have crooked hips thanks to RUGS (Rapid Uneven Growth Syndrome) and I wonder if that has anything do to with it but, my question is, am I wrong in thinking that being able to do this faux pole trick of mine would mean that I should be able to get CLOSE to doing a split?
