...and I have seen it!
No, not the kind of heaven where kitties run around chasing millions of mice and f*cking each other senseless, waking up all the boring harp-playing angels with their screeching and yowling.
There is a foundation here that puts up animals for adoption, and won't put any of them to sleep. For the past few years, since I can't have another cat yet (and I miss my last one!), I have gone in there and petted all the doggies and kitties in their little cages, and tossed a few bucks in their jar.
But now I discovered they have a whole roomful of the very friendliest cats, and they'll let me in there.
They are all the sweetest, coolest cats ever, and they all want to be petted at once. One of them will immediately climb up on my shoulders and settle down there, purring like mad, while I attempt to pet a dozen cats at once, rolling around and rubbing all over my legs.
Kathleen, one of our newest members, just got an adorable yellow striped kitten we named Orion, after my favorite constellation. There's a story about the constellation which means a lot to us (it has to do with our friend Dale who got killed), but that will have to wait until later.
Just thought I'd share this--and Silky, if you really lost Dusty (wait a bit longer, though), go to one of these places and get another!
