    Default Snoring....

Please tell me there's something that can be done about really loud snoring...I havent gotten sleep in days because of my mans inhumanly loud snoring! And he wonders why I sleep in so late! I want to sleep with him, but tonight I finally gave up and am laying in the guest bed which sucks because it's not long enough for me. Help anyone?

Shit now that is one sound i CAN NOT STAND!!! urghh! I honestly don't think that i could marry a man who snores. I don't know why the sound effects me so much but it goes straight through me.

Have you tried those nasal strips for snoring? Also i noticed that over weight ppl tend to snore.

These are great. The strip sticks to the skin and lifts it, creating a wider nasal passage.

also: earplugs.....the parking lot in my apt complex is very noisy, and this drowns out the noise from outside. however, i can still wake up to my alarm clock (one by the bed, one at the other side of the room for extra security). they take awhile to get used to (feel weird initially).

I second what Lizette said. Breathe Right strips work like a charm! I was skeptical when they first came out, but I figured I'd have the Husband try them anyway out of curiosity. They worked!

They have a ton of different varieties of them now too, some even made just for colds, because I know a few people who only snore when they have colds.

Seriously.. Get them, you'll be so happy after having a full night's sleep.

Im skeptical of Breathe Right Strips...my mom uses them everynight and my dad still has to go out and sleep on the couch because she's so loud! And earplugs dont seem to work either. I tried that with an ex boyfriend, but just as mentioned he would be right next to me just like an alarm clock and still keep me up.

I dont think finding a guy that DOESNT snore an option...EVERY guy Ive been with long enough to sleep in bed with them snores!

    About the strips...

You HAVE to clean your face very well before putting them on or the sebacious secretions (oil) from your skin will cause them to come off. Try using an astringent like Sea Breeze on the sides of your nose before applying.

The majority of guys i have slept in a bed with (not all BF's some just buddies) don't snore. My husband doesn't snore at all he is such a silent sleeper thank godness.

They do also say that everybody tends to snore once they hit 40.

If you can find away to not make him sleep on his back that should help also.

i keep a jar of vapo rub on the bedstand. when my bf gets loud, i smear a big glob on his moustache. he always wakes up for a moment, tries to wipe it off, and gives me this look like "what did you do to me?" but he usually doesn't snore for the rest of the night after that, at least not loudly. probably part of it is that he can't wipe all of it out of his moustache! sometimes just waking him up and telling him he was snoring helps. but he always goes "wha...? no i wasn'......"

I've also heard there are little clip devices that widen the nasal passages too.

Bad snoring can be resolved, and *should* -- it actually puts the snorer at a higher risk of assorted health problems including alarming stuff like strokes -- apparently because of the diminished oxygen flow.

i liken it to old dogs. you just lift their heads up to increase the space in the airway.

if their heads are too heavy in their sleep, poke at them till they get mad and tell them to roll over onto their sides.

    back-sleepers are the woooorrrrst.

You guys have it lucky, between my man and the dog snoring, and then being awake when the dog farts, I've been chased away plenty. If the sound doesn't get me the stank will. I invested in a very comfy microfiber couch from ashly, and now get a good nights sleep when I need to
