Default vitamins to reduce stretch marks!

I just wanted to let you guys know that i was at costco yesterday and I saw a big bottle of Super Collagen-c. I guess it is supposed to help rebulid you collagen so I am hoping that if i take this and scrub my stretch marks every night they might have a chance to repair or at least be less noticeable.

I've heard that Vitamin E is good for stretch marks. You just break the capsules open and rub it directly on them every day.

been there, done that didn't work. As i was getting the marks i used vitamin e and cocoa butter on them up to 5 times a day! i was obssesed, but it didn't do shit. I also used mederma and that didn't prevent them or help them either. This is kinda like my last resort

Stretch marks are the very deepest layers of your skin that have been stretched. No cocoa butter or vitamin -e that you rub on top will make any difference, none of it can do anything to the deep layers of skin. You cant scrub them off, youre only scrubbing off the very top layers. There is also no vitamin that works, the only thing that might work is laser therapies.

    This what i read also.

Stretch marks are not even marks they are scars and again as Rb mentioned above are deep under the layers of your skin.

I don't know that there is even a laser therapy that works. Anyone know for sure? I have little white ones on my legs and I hate them!

Definitely yes! Esp if sick, hungover or just plain dehydrated, or lack of sleep. Not really usually darker I guess, unless they get irritated, esp from dancing on someone with rough clothes or a big belt buckle, but more noticable.

To the origional question, I don't know about suppliments, but a healthy diet and supplements certainly can't hurt.
Omega 3's are helpful in keeping the skin elastic, so imo may help them seem slightly less prominant.

Mederma didn't help me either. I am curious about Strivecton D, gonna do a search.

Probably seen this in other posts, but worth repeating:
Keep hydrated. Dehydration makes them look worse. Drink lot's of water, avoid caffeine & alcohol, moisturize, & try some body make-up. Excersize helps by improving circulation, and by tightening the underlying muscles, and may make them smaller or at least look it. I don't think anything gets rid of them completely, except possibly surgery. I am always looking for ways to make stretch marks look better, if anyone has new ideas. (I am always looking on all the many posts on the subject)

as far as my plastic surg is concerned there is NOTHING that works.

As he put it " if there were a cure for stretchmarks I'd have already retired "

I do notice when I use cocoa butter it fills them in till I shower it off at night. when the skin is taunt you can use makeup like dermablend or coverblend. It does NOT rub off but you need to let it set while it absorbs and dries.

Otherwise the deep ones on non taunt skin , the best you can do is cope. I"ve had two children so i know the feeling.

Work out..tuck and nip what doesnt go back to where it belongs then apply makeup lol best solution i've got.

Btw lasers usually scar more then fade the stretchmark.

Ive done mederma ( the smell alone was bad enough. ) zero results.

I've done silcone sheeting ( 100 bucks a sheet and 90 for the gel.) zero results.

I used creams, lotions ..etc during and after pregnancy. Nothing worked.

Your genes have a lot to do with it. Your skins elasticity is the key.
