    Default Floor/stage work

I just started dancing a couple weeks ago, and I don't have to go on stage yet. Most of the girls at this club have been there for a while, and already know what they are doing, so they don't practice on the pole or stage before or after hours. How can I practice this kind of thing at home? I don't exactly have a big studio with mirrors to work in. I'm afraid I'll get on stage the first time and look like an idiot.

I'm not a dancer, but my advice is just to go for it, and don't worry so much about how you look, just try to have fun. Maybe practice a bit at home first, but I think you should just go for it. Just get up there and do it. I think it's all about the mindset, if you feel sexy, you will project it in the way you look on stage.

You should get the S-Factor by Sheila Kelly.I just got it for $10 off of Amazon and its been a great help! Also as far as the pole goes, I just ignore the fact that I dont know what Im doing and just try different things on it while Im onstage. Ive almost fallen off of a very high stage on to a customers already (Wednesday ), so goofing on the pole is nothing. If I do, I can always follow it with something sexy.

My suggestion is to go into work an hour early and mess around. I know at my club at the end of the night we're all set on leaving so no one wants to hang around to mess on the pole or practice, we're all pretty beat up by then! I'm planning on comming in early tomorrow so that I can practice my shows as well as my pole work! It shouldn't be a big deal if you come in early! Good luck hun....also...don't worry to much about looking like an ass on stage. Watch what the other girls do and try to incorporate some things into your show that they do...as well as ask them how to do some things when you get a chance, if they are nice...if not then don't bother asking as they'll just be snotty about it.

Are there any girls there who are nice at all? You may be able to go up with one when it's slow. It would take some of the stress out of just being on the stage for the first time. You could do a little two girls at once show.
Also just don't put too much pressure on your first time up - thinking about dancing and moves and tricks and all that. Just be easy on yourself and focus on appearing relaxed and sexy, connecting with the customers and slowly undressing.
That's nice your club hired you without putting you in rotation right away.
And Anabella is an adorable name - is it your stage name?

when i first started out i know for a fact i looked like an idiot. I would get there a little early though and would practice.

just go up there and have fun...it honestly doesn't matter at first what you look like! The custys will see that you are new and that you are having fun. So go up there, smile alot and be sexy.

hmm...hope that helped you out some!

Thanks for the advice. I might try to have one of the nicer girls show me a few moves. It seems like the newer girls are friendlier, and the girls who have been there for years have no interest in speaking to anyone else.

I did get a chance to go on stage just for a little bit (we do tshirt and hat promos, and if you don't sell them, you go on stage) so I got to be up there with some of the other girls, that made it less nervewracking.

No, anabella isn't my stage name, I just came up with it real quick to sign onto the board. Maybe if I switch clubs I'll use that one.

once you've been at your club for a while, most of the girls who have been there for a while will warm up to you. Alot of new girls come and go, and i know that i don't try to be befriend someone who will most likely not last through the next week.
