Default split thread: working super bowl

I didnt want to highjack CK's thread so heres a different one.

Anyone worked super bowl when it wasnt in your city?
If you did well: Why do you think you did well? (Ie busy, good money momentum etc)

If you didnt do so well: Why didnt you do well? (ie no one there, didnt come in till late etc)

*This year the super bowl in on Febuary 5th 6pm EST.

i worked last year and it wasn't in my city and everybody made a LOT of money. we had a superbowl party. our club is pretty big. they have tons of TVs all throughout the club and a drop-down projector screen on the stage, which the girls don't like too much but the guys absolutely love. and they offer a free buffet... the line was wrapped all around the club when they announced that the food was ready! lol...

When I worked superbowl, (last year) all three days, I made the most money that I have EVER made dancing, and I have been dancing for five years several different cities. I think I did well because it was busy and also because--logically people that go to see the superbowl have to have a lot of money because the tickets are sooo expensive, so the people that go are usually pretty wealthy and have money to spend, and most average people stay in there hometown and watch the superbowl on TV.

I worked 8 days straight and made great money!! The expenses were high though, and they charged all out of town girls $100 to work each night before tipouts. If you can drive your own vehicle and have a free/cheap place to stay, then more money in your pocket. In Houston, I drove down, had my own car, and stayed for free at my dad's. Housefee was $15-30 max, and tipout was reasonable, maybe $50 across the board.

Last year, I flew out, had to rent a car, stay in a hotel, and had higher tipout. OTOH, I this club had dances for >$20, champagne room rates, and a tipping culture. Plus I had a great time with some awesome ladies!

here is the kicker...if you work in the losing town's city.

I'm in Philadelphia and everyone was really pumped about the game. Of course, nobody was there during the game and after they lost, they were miserable and not in a spending mood.

The year before was fine, but only after the game.

Vegas of course has been good to me the last 2 years. Guys come here and bet HUGE amounts on the game. They even have a shuttle to run guys back and forth to the casino to place last minute bets. People win big and are in the strip club when they do....!!!!! Even the non betters are sucked into the party atmosphere and spend money.

We didn't have any sort of SuperBowl promo running, other than one of the managers (who is also a damn good cook) making free chili dogs and brats and devilled eggs for all the girls, as well as serving them to any customers that wanted them. Brat + raw onions = tasty, but I was so glad our housemom brought gum.

It was pretty slow, but it picked up significantly once the big game was over. A decent chunk of the post-game rush was actually from the Flogging Molly show across the street, but a lot of the crowd was guys who wanted to celebrate a Steelers win with tits/distract themselves from a Seahawks loss with tits.

In the end, I did about as well as an average Sunday, and I got a free brat and free devilled eggs, so I say it's a win-win situation.

After working Thursday, Friday and Saturday I didn't feel like standing up and doing five dollar table dances all night for the "stripper bowl". My husband said it wasn't that good anyway. The most VIP dances a girl got was 10. That really sucks at our club on a busy night.
