    Default inexpensive starter outfits/shoes?

(I did use the search function, btw, but nothing particularly relevant came up).

Any suggestions for online sites where I can get a pair of shoes and an outfit or two without spending $436456756354 would be much appreciated!

other dancers are a good source. some periodically sell their outfits (ones that they tire of, grow in/out of, or just don't "work" for them anymore) to get cash for new costumes or other purposes. do you already have a club that you'd like to audition at in mind? go there and see. some sell their costumes for cheap because they really want to get rid of them. make sure you try it on first, though, to check the fit. also, depending on the club, you might already own an outfit that could be appropriate for a first night....like booty shorts and a cute top. shop at target, or go into hot topic and look at the 50% off section...although these sources will not be sufficient for long-term dancing, they should work for now. as you get $$, start acquiring outfits. it takes time to build up a wardrobe. and again, don't underestimate your local dancers for cheap outfits. hell, when i danced, i got about 15 from girls for free. sometimes they just don't have any use for them, and girls can help one another out. likewise, i'd do the same. also, try ebay, although you won't know how it fits you until you get it.

for cheap shoes and boots, try http://www.snaz75.com . you really don't need a huge selection to start. again, build up your collection with time. other dancers also sell/donate shoes and boots, but you might want to be careful here. who knows who has icky feet. but again, use your own discretion. also be careful about using "civilian" shoes for dancing. although it is possible, especially if you're in a pinch and have no other alternative, they are not built for dancing. they aren't also as aesthetically appealing (but there are exceptions). good luck!

Check the snaz75.com clearance section. I just stocked up on a whole bunch of heels for less than $100. Some are only $20, woohoo. I find that the cheapest outfits are sold on ebay.com alot of Leg Avenue stuff for around $20 as well. Have fun!

eBay is great for finding reasonably priced outfits and shoes. krystels.biz also frequently has specials.

I second eBay. Going back probably about 6 months now, I got a LOT of 3 pairs of 6" platform/stiletto heels for the low low price of $39.99. They aren't cheap looking, either. I was quite impressed. Just go surfing for a style you like, and then check eBay for them.

It's excellent for outfits as well. I got a ton of them from one seller around the same time as I got the shoes.
