Default Make-Up Remover a la Baby Wipe

When I get home from work, I'm so lazy that I take my makeup off with a couple of baby wipes. Does anyone else do this? Is this bad for my skin?

I wouldn't do that on a regular basis. Baby wipes contain alcolol, which can dry out your skin. There are som emakeup remover wipes on the market, like Ponds and Olay. I usually put some olive oil on a cotton ball to do my eyes, and then which hazel on a cotton ball for the rest.

I do too. I'm not sure if its bad for your skin but it's better than sleeping with it on I guess. I have the baby wipes with Shea butter. That's good for you no?

Huggies Supreme wipes do not contain alcohol and they have nice ripples in them to extra wipeability

Baby wipes made my face break out when I used to use them, so now I buy Ponds face wipes. They are moistened, like baby wipes, and you don't have to rinse your face after, and they don't make you break out. More expensive than baby wipes, but better for my skin.

Hey CK, sweetie! I use luv Ponds Clean Sweep (w/green tea & chamoile). They are gentle, work great, & are not heavily perfumed like some are (comodynes brand for ex.) I have used Whole Foods all natural baby wipes, but prefer the Ponds

you should at least rinse your face after you use the baby wipe. I just run it under the faucet and rinse out the wipe then use it to get rid of the baby wipe residue on me face.

This applies to all those makeup remover wipe things.

Dove face pads. Love 'em. I also use vaseline to remove eye make up.

I wouldn't worry about it. Like a lot of people said, it's better than sleeping with it ON than using a baby wipe to take it off. And anyways, Astringents (people use them everyday) contain alcohol. I use Clinque's everyday. If you have combo/oily skin I'd say they're find to use. Maybe follow up with light facial mosturizer.

The baby wipes leave my skin blotchy & irritated. Still I agree that it is better than lvg make-up on overnight.
The Ponds wipes are great! Olay now makes pre-wet wipes so I recently switched to them. Stiill not sure which I prefer though, they both have their good points.

Ok, I went and grabbed the container. These wips are alchohol free and made with aloe and vitamin E.

Before I started using the wipes, I was cleaning my face with noxema..but I got tired of washing my face like 3x before it got even close to feelin clean. And may I add, I don't even wear heavy makeup.

I think I will try the Olay wipes. I heard those are much bigger sheets than the ponds. Am I right, or wrong on that?

Use plain witch hazel as an astringent. I cannot believe women pay so much money for brand named astringents when all they are is watered down alcohol with food coloring dye.

(Not a thread jack. I use baby wipes too, but not all the time. I think stage makeup deserves a straight-up cleansing & rinse. Ever wake up with sparkles on the pillowcase?)
