Great Trick for Wavy Hair!

    I LOVE MY NEW HAIRSTYLE!

I have the same layered cut I've always had, but I recently started something different. Sometimes I used to blowdry it straight, and sometimes I'd let my hair dry naturally so it could curl into big bouncy waves. I like the curl, but it would hang so limp at the top; it had no body.

So now, after I wash it, I shake it loose and then blowdry the ROOTS ONLY, upside down. The ends, I scrunch and leave wet, and let them air-dry. Once everything is dry, I brush it, apply Frizz-Ease Secret Weapon Finishing Creme, and scrunch again. Voila, GORGEOUS hair with bouncy wavy curl AND plenty of body and volume!

Just had to gloat, and share with anyone else who might like this trick!

I'm going to try that too! Whenever I try to wear my naturally wavy hair wavy, it always ends up a frizzy mess ...I am willing to try anything at this point!

    Thanks for posting this!

That sounds like a great idea. I heat when my roots are limp too!

Here's another option if you have wavy hair...

Spray John Friedas Beach Blonde Spray onto wet hair. Scrunch at the roots and twist the ends. Let air dry. Then just finger comb.

It leaves beautiful lift at the roots, as well as defined curls through your hair. It also smells like coconut.

Sounds great, yet in my toss up between weaves and braided extensions, this trick won't really work on me.

However, GHD ceramic hair straighteners rock. Some girls I know don't even know you can use them for curling the hair. They are awesome for achieving super sexy pre-Raphaelite curls. Don't forget to apply the oil spray to your hair first though.

I usually do one of two things depending on how much time i have. If I want to be able to get up and go in the morning I will wash my hair the night before and apply volumizing mousse to mostly my roots and a little to the ends. I don't brush or anything I just partially finger comb but mostly just leave it and sleep on it wet (a towel over my pillow so it's not gross) When I wake up I finger comb a little since its pretty messy then spray a freezing hair spray throughout. A little bit on top, a little more towards the ends. I finger comb to get any knots out. If there is an area which looks retarded I'll either rewet it and smooth it out or like I do with my ends, I will use a straightner to kind of set that piece straight. I usually straighten JUST my ends a LITTLE bit.

ANOTHER way I do it is if I need to wash and dry in little time I will put a towel around my head briefly, let it down and finger comb, then apply a detangling/blow dry helping serum (I use Kiwi blow dry serum), then put in Matrix EXTREME sleek look serum and toussle my hair and slightly finger comb it. I let it air dry for a few minutes then I use my hair dryer and tilt my head sideways (depending on which side I'm drying) and at ARMS LENGTH away I'll have it on high and just kinda let swish through my hair as if I'm standing in the wind from UNDERNEATH! That way it builds volume and seperates the waves/curls. After I do that all over blowing from UNDERNEATH! I will spray with a freezing hair spray to set it. My hair usually looks AWESOME
