dark circles and wrinkles under eyes

If there is already a thread on this guide me to it. Because I could not find one. I have olive toned skin and have always had dark circles under my eyes. It is getting annoying because sometimes customers at work ask me if I am tired because of this. I have tried cucumbers and avon under eye lightener but neither has worked. Please if you know anything else I could try tell me??!!
Also I have some small wrinkles under my eyes. My makeup, even the loose powder seems to get stuck in the creases. How can I prevent this??

    thank you all

some people say that dark circles under the eyes is a sign of liver malfunction.

the other thing is, certain nationalities are more susceptible to those rings. i know the italian in-laws in my family seem to have it when they get older.

All the women in my family have the same problem. Here's what we do...

Wash your face with a gentle cleanser (Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser). Use a good moisturizer containing UVA/UVB sunscreen (ROC Daily moisturizer). While skin is still moist, dab a small amount of yellow concealer onto the inner under-eye area, only where dark circles appear (Physicians Formula Yellow/Light Concealer). Dab gently until blended, then follow with the light concealer.

Only use a small amount. Otherwise, as you have found, it will actually accentuate your lines. Use a very small amount of powder containing UVA/UVB sunscreen (Neutrogena Healthy Skin Pressed Powder) to help it stay.

Drinking lots of water and getting enough rest will also help diminish under-eye circles.

    Best of luck!

    Kat

I would like to add that my dark circles are due to allergies. Do you have allergies?

I have the same problem and I find the best thing is to cover them up with Cover FX or Dermablend. I've never found a cream that works.

I think KittyKat described the absolute best way.

Also, the reason you do not want to "rub" it in is because that skin is very delicate...if you pull it too much, you'll find that you have even more wrinkles there.

Yellow concealer is always the best way to go!

yeah, in some cases darkness can't be fixed by sleep or lighteners. Ben Nye makes a good quality and cheap yellow concealer (found in theatrical shops), and Laura Mercier makes a really good peach one, in case yellow shade doesn't work for you (didn't for me; prob. better on warm toned girls), and Bobbi Brown makes a pink corrector. one of those is bound to work for you. Also they are creamy consistency. Apply to a well moisturized area, with a brush, and only to where it's dark( inner corner of the eye to half way up and half way down, blend well). Forget powder. Both BB and LM make a compact that contains corrector alongside with a reg. concealer, which is convenient. Oh, and Cle De Peau's concealer is awesome, great coverage, but sadly ivory shade was too dark fo me. But take a look.

Another great product is called "Lemon-aid" by Benefit. I have a friend who uses it and loves it.

I have the same problem. I use 2 products for that. See the pictures. One restores moisture, reduces puffiness and minimizes the dark cirles. That is the erase eye gel. The other is for wrinkles. I get them from the store on ebay. .

The best coverups I've found for me (out of LOTS of products) are Almay "smart shade" makeup on the entire undereye area, followed by a little Physician's Formula yellow concealer.

The yellow stuff, PF sells tiny sample sticks for about 2 bucks, and they last me forever. It's important to use a brush and only apply it exactly where the darkness is, or else I end up looking all yellowy.

I haven't found a powder that will set it without creasing, but it stays on pretty well for me.
