    Default Wearing glasses

Last night I came into work wearing my glasses (I usually come in with my contacts already on). Some of the other girls complimented me on them and one told me I should try wearing them while on the floor. So half way through the shift, it was kind of slow and I was bored, I went back into the dressing room and put them back on to see what would happen. I noticed my business seemed to pick up (but it also just got busier in the club too) and I got a few compliments from customers on them as well.

I was just wondering if any of you guys ever experimented with wearing glasses at work and how well you thought it worked. At first I thought they would be a total turn off.

I work in Atlanta... I've been wearing contacts since the 4th grade... 15 years now! Haven't owned a pair of glasses in at least 5 because I never wear them. Last Sunday I scratched my cornea and have been ordered not to wear my contacts for 10 days, well so I'm totally against this idea so I try just wearing one contact in the good eye... bad idea! After a day of that I broke down and got a pair... now I'm looking to get another pair, just different shape/look- I'm the only girl in my club of about 30-50 girls a night that wears glasses.

Yes! a BIG DIFFERENCE. Customers and even the other girls told me it would be...and then they proved to be.

We did have a thread about this a while ago.

Glasses can work really well for you, especially if you tie them up with a great theme outfit. Some men have a thing for them. You can really make them effective.

I used to wear my specs into work. I got complimented on them a lot too, but to be honest, did not feel entirely comfortable with them on all the time and I always had to take them off when I went on stage. If I put them on again after the stage show, some guys would do a double take wondering if I was the same girl that was on stage (which was annoying IMHO, if, as happened a few times, they wanted a dance from the ''girl that was on stage"; honestly, some men can be really daft).

I've been wearing my glasses at work for a year or two now. It does get attention. Only thing is, everybody thinks I only wear them for show and that REALLY gets on my friggin nerves

    It sells tho.

I wear glasses because I need them. Everyone asks if they are a prop. I hear it more often than, "What's your real name?" and "What does your boyfriend think of your job?" It gets annoying. That said, I receive plenty of attention. However, I've managed to lose or destroy 5 pairs in the past year. As glasses cost a few hundred each, I decided to start wearing contacts. It's too bad. I like being the school teacher, the librarian, the secretary, Lisa Loeb, and Tina Fey.

I must admit, I love me some pretty faces framed in nice glasses.

    Two cents.

I've worn mine and the guys seemed to like the different look. Since only one other girl there ever wears hers and she doesn't do it all the time. Guys like different!
If everything you try is a sure thing, you aren't taking enough risks. If you never fail, you put a limit on the degree to which you can succeed. In short, the only way to win big is to risk losing

I only wear mine if my contacts bother me too much...I get lots of compliments from other dancers/staff, but can't seem to sell dances with 'em on.

Glasses can add a different look to you. As was said it can be the schoolgirl, teacher, librarian, thing or it can be a side of innocence. I have found the when a girl wears them for a change she does well that night.

There is a girl in my club who wears those black rimmed glasses, no offense but I think she looks like a big dork. But that is not the issue, she seems to do pretty well even though her face is not attractive because guys think she looks like a school teacher like others have mentioned. I don't really get it.

If you are going to wear glasses at work I suggest getting a cheap throw away pair. I have ruined 2 pairs somehow, so go for some cheapies if you are using them for show at work.
