Default Experienced Dancers Give Me Your Advice please

1- I have been dancing now for about almost 2 monthes . . . I am not very good on stage, I thought I was "ok" until I started talking to other girls and they ask me if i am "new" to dancing and customers ask me the same. So I guess my stage sucks...
2- I find it very hard to dance if I have no alcohol in my system...
    3- I make about 200-500$ for a 5 hour shift

I am just horrible on stage and really need some help ....??
I don't chase money. Money chases me.

The best advise I can give is to relax, smile, and remember you are not in a regular club...(a major mistake for new dancers)....sounds like you are making good money, alot more than you could flipping burgers. It took me years to get comfortable on stage, just give it time and don't give up, you will find your level of comfot.
    Good luck!

Practice dancing in front of your mirror. Say, I M HOOTTTT, several times. Look at yourself seductively while your dancing.

If that doesn't help, dance for someone you think is HOT, watch yourself in a mirror when your dancing to see where your best attributes and moves are.

Your complaining about $200 - $500 a shift? Thats pretty damn good if ya ask me. 5 days a week that can equal $1000 a week... or more. Plus thats only for a 5 hour shift... im busting my ass for 12 hour shifts to walk away with $500 - $800 and sometimes I dont even hit the $500 mark. Stage show isnt everything(unless your a stage only club if you are then I guess it is everything lol). Practise in front of a mirror... ask a more experianced girl in your club to give you advice. It comes with due time. Hell i've been doing it 6 months and my stage show has just started to rate under the 'doesnt look like a newbie but doesnt look experianced either' catagory. I can do some fairly advanced pole tricks but my floor work sucks and I still wobble in my heels time to time and miss landings and stuff. It takes time and practise. Good luck

Stop drinking at work now!!! Im so serious about that. If you have to drink to be a stripper - you either need to quit or need to stop drinking. Ive seen my share of drunk strippers make asses of themselves. Although I think its ok to have a drink or 2 to start your shift but after that if you drink keep it to a minimum or none at all.
Drinking at work or getting drunk is a big problem for people who cant handle their jobs. Be careful with yourself one night youll be missing your purse with all your nightly earnings in it. <<seen that happen too.

So, youre complaining you only make 200-500 a night and you think you suck on stage. We all sucked on stage for a bit. Just remember to move slow, pick slower beat songs too, and smile. After youve done that then you can practice pole tricks and diff. moves. 200-500 is nothing to snear at or complain about. Focus on the sales factor of the job and p/u some sales books. You make good money so why not go to the DW seminar?

TM is right about the drinking. I've seen my fair share of drunk dancers and it isnt pretty. If you have to get drunk to work then you might want to re-evaluate why your dancing. I admite to having a couple of vodka coolers while i work and once n awhile i'll do some shots to help out the shooter girl. You will never see me drunk at work though(did it once and it was a bad mistake). If you have to order drinks(some clubs have this rule) you can order a fake drink.

The DancerWealth seminar is a great idea though. Im trying to make my way down for it and im in Toronto. A lot of girls swear by this seminar. Check out

Drinking and dancing is BAAADD. You waste your hard earned money and it makes you oblivious when custys with cash are willing to spend. It RUINS your hustle because you start to flirt instead of hustle.

I have the smae problem. I'm one of the top earners and make $300 and up per shift or so but I feel I can't dance good on stage. I rarely get stage tips even if I get fully nude and it upets me a lot. Yet other girls, that make less money but get stage tips feel I don't have a reason to be upset. I like the amount of money I make but I wish I would get tipped qas much as the other girls or put on a good stage show, the kind that everyone says "so and so dances really good". And the worst thing is I've been dancing for over a year already so
I don't haqve the excuse of being new.

Uh - almost 2 months?! you ARE new... what are you complaining about? You KNOW $500 a shift is good money if you read posts on SW.... get real and get over it.

    Quit drinking
    Practice dancing

Posts where girls complain about making $500 a shift just irritate me. Sometimes I wonder if theres some ulterior motive of them trying to either

    a) get praise about how wonderful they are and the money theyre making
    b) try to make others jealous knowing darn well lots of girls dont make NEARLY that much

Agree I have worked 12 hours and not hit 500, so if you are making that $$$ that is better than average, the stage isn;t everything anyway, you make your money giving dances!!

^^^ I don't know what state or country or whatever you are in but here in Los Angeles most men definately do not prefer blondes over brunettes with the same level of hustling ability. I'm a blonde and I definately have to bust my ass nd actually talk them into it while many brunettes at the same club just have to ask if they wanna dance. Anyway, sometimes girls do good when they're really brand new and it slows down one the customers move on to the next new face.

How much you make depends a lot on where you live, what the economy is like and such. In some places with cost of living what I make would be equal to someone else making $200 a night... ya know? Sure, girls in NYC may make $1000 a night but then again their rent is 3x what mine is (if they live IN the city, OR they have a heck of a commute) so it all kinda works out in the end...

But seriously... to complain about $500 a night in most areas is just ridiculous...

I have noticed that blondes get more attention, as they have the Barbie look... Brunettes make money, but usually not as much.

The Japanese businessmen love the Blondes, and they get most of their $$$ from them...

I couldn't agree more how does someone complain about making $500 a night? To make people jealous I think....I'm not dancing yet but, hell even if I make 200 a night I think I will go home happy....Why cause it's a hell of a lot more than I would be making at any crappy average job I worked at in the past....Girl take that $500 a night and go home and appreciate that money you earned....Some girls don't even make that much and make that amount busting there ass in a weeks time.....Some people are greedy I guess

I make $500 on a really really really good night, which seldom happens. I'm in more of a stage club, where stage tips make up about 75% or more of what I make each night. I work 9 hour shifts, and usually go home with $150-350, sometimes less. But I consider myself to be doing very good, based on how much I made at my last job, and how much it costs to live in this area. Average rent for an apartment in an apartment building is $300-500 per month. If I was expected to pay $1000+ for rent, I probably wouldn't be as happy. But I don't pay rent at all right now, so I'm even happier.

Seriously, depending on where you live and what the cost of living is in your area, $500 in a night is excellent and you have no reason to complain.

it is possible you just lack perspective as a newbie. i mean, you're whining about how you suck onstage when you are obviously making plenty of money anyhow. ever think that maybe some of those girls are whispering about your stage because you do happen to be doing well? i have had other dancers point and laugh at my stage performances, but it was often dancers who were later complaining that they couldn't make money, that the customers were cheap, etc.

unless stage tips make up more than 20% of your money, stage doesn't matter at all, so no need to sweat it past looking happy to be up there.

I tried to send a long reply twice, but they got lost in cyberspace, so sorry - this is the much shorter version

    1. Ask dancers to teach you tricks at the club or buy dance DVDs. There are many on the market e.g. Carmen electra, sheila kelley etc. Do a site or google search.

    2. Don't drink to get drunk, period. If it's a struggle, work in a non-alcohol club or set a drink limit and stick to it. You may need to work on confidence if you feel the need to resort to alcohol.

    3. I'm so happy you are unhappy with your earnings - this is a surefire way to force you to be the best hustler you can be. You want to make MAX before hanging up your heels. Read Hustle hut for tips. Work on dress, conversation and general demeanour and try to set yourself apart from the others in your club. If you believe you are worth it, men will pay to see it. Sounds like your club has potential to net you more than you've got. Ignore the money insults and aim higher! Good luck!
