I'm generally a laid-back, uncomplaining girl, but I am having issues with all the pot smoking in the change room at work. I have nothing against marijuana, and once in a blue moon I'll smoke, but not at work. I try not to even drink much while dancing- it doesn't help my hustle, and I don't like to get burned out. But the way our changeroom is organized, I can't avoid having the joint passed all around me while I'm changing outfits or brushing my hair...normally I would just avoid the room as much as possible, but when I'm doing a stage set I don't have a choice. So the smoke gets in my hair, on my clothes, in my eyes...and without even realizing it, despite my perfumed best efforts, I reek when I hit the floor. Twice this weekend I've had customers ask me if I just smoked a joint. Then I try to explain the situation, and they're like "oh, sure, right...".
They are allowed to smoke, implicitly anyhow. Except when the cops are visiting, but there is a smoking bylaw that means we're not supposed to technically be smoking anything in the back. So I don't know what to do. I have told them I've had comments about smelling like weed, but I am in the minority of non-smokers! Any advice? It's not a big deal, but it gets annoying.

I smoke week sometimes to, but never at work... Maybe you should try the Den, it had a mad rep, but I really didn't see anyhting wrong with it. I usually go on Fri and Sat and make the same money as I would at the place we work right now.
