Default Strip Tease Gram Business Questions

    Hello All,
I Live in Connecticut and am looking into starting a strip tease gram service where the stripper accompanied by an escort go into the clients house and perform a strip tease and lap dance. This will be a tops off only service no sex. Not having any experience in the industry I have some questions, I hope someone out there can help.

    (1) What Kind of insurance do I need if any?
    (2) If I need insurance which company out there insures this kind of business? (who do I call)
    (3) What are the pitfalls/danger areas of this particular type of strip tease gram business?
    (4) What would I need to pay an escort per hour for there service.
    (5) What arrangement in terms of money would make working for me appealing to a stripper?
    (6) What is the best way to find strippers to work for me?

    Thank you in advance.

You must have posted this forever ago, but I don't come here often anymore. I can only address the last question. I used to do stripograms, but didn't run the business so I don't know that part.

I would want to work for you if:

1- you provided an escort (which you already mentioned), one I trusted (just means pick a good one)

2- you carefully screened your clients; don't send me to the projects to entertain a drug dealer. Don't send me to a place filled with a hundred drunken frat boys. That's trouble. If you book private shows, make sure they know EXACTLY what they are and are not getting.

3- you were flexible and understanding with my schedule, since it is an on-call job (I quit because my boss insisted I strip for him instead of go to my family's Christmas. Uh. NO. This, he said, was ok because I took off finals week to study.)

4- you gave me what I considered a fair rate- if you take 90% of the money, no fair! If I get 30 bucks for taking my top off, dressing up, driving down there, dancing around, no fair!

5- you could provide enough gigs to provide worthwhile income to me, and/or:

6- you had an interest in increasing your business. That is, got creative, did ads, promos, etc. My stripogram boss did none of that and pined for more business to come to him. Doesn't always work that way.

It would also be nice if you provided a cell phone or something like, because in that business there's a lot of driving to who knows where to meet who knows who. It would be easy for your dancer to get lost. Always respect your dancers limits. If you require the dancer to give you pictures to show customers, pay for them. Know the law where you live. Around here, thongs are illegal where hard alcohol is served, so I had to be sure to wear full or brazillians if I went to a bar. Also, weird stuff can happen, so have a good relationship with your dancer/dancers. You want to be able to trust them when it's their word against a customer... this was one thing that my former boss did right. It helps to make judgement calls on how to repay a customer (or not) when they got less than they expected.

Tia brought up some great concerns for you to take into account. I agree esp. with providing a trust worthy escort/driver/security for your dancer as not every dancer will be able to provide her own (just see my thread in private dancing).

As far as a fair rate, allow the dancer to earn a min. of $100 for just showing up. Keep your 'cut' at $50 or something very fair as well as allowing the dancer to keep all her tips. I work for one agency who insists that I must declare all my tips so they can take 20%. I only stick with this agency as it gives me work otherwise I would drop it.

A good way to be fair to all the dancer(s) is to make sure they all have cell/mobile phones and text them all the basic details of any bookings that come up. Thus whoever responds first (within 5 min of you sending the text message to all of them) will receive the booking. Make sure they are all very aware of this rule. Also try to keep track (even if it means you have to send out a group text message asking) of the availability of each dancer.

Keep a diary so you can keep track of the dancers' movements/schedules. It annoys me when an agency sends a booking my way after I have sent them a few text messages during the week telling them I am NOT available that week or NOT available certain days/times.

Tia's point number 5 cannot be emphasised enough!!! I travel alot for work around Australia as I just do NOT receive enough private party bookings.... I earn more in my travels working within a strip club (after my expenses) than I do working private parties.

On that note, do not just promote the blondes with tits. Promote your TALENT. This is what is infuriating me about private party work currently.... they promote the blondes with tits over anyone who is talented.

Also, allow your dancers to work for multiple agencies without penalising them.

I do disagree with Tia about providing a cell/mobile phone. This should be something a dancer who is interested in being part of your agency/business have already. Besides, the pre-paid ones are inexpensive to buy (at least here in Australia) and keep in credit..... and is a legitmate business expense if the dancer is being legitmate (and using the phone soley for work).

Lastly, unlike a 'normal' business, I will re-quote Tia as it cannot be said enough:

Also, weird stuff can happen, so have a good relationship with your dancer/dancers. You want to be able to trust them when it's their word against a customer...
Take a dancer's word over the customer especially if she has made a decent attempt to turn up to the booking. This happened to me recently concerning a booking for an 18th. I arrived only to want to flee as I did not feel safe. I saw drunk teens already out on the street, the contact person/number was un-reachable and just screaming 'red flags'.
