    Stretch Marks

Hi. My names Bridgette and I'm 18. I had a baby 5 month ago and the stretch marks are still there. I have them all over. I really want to dance but don't know what to do! Should i be excersizing more. I'm a bit lax about it. What do you think. I'm a bit vuluptous (150lbs...I hold it well...5'6...Double D's) but I'm porportonal.

What do you guys think. I aprecate any help you can give.

Search the threads, a ton of info is there.

but they will all tell you they are there to stay. they will fade to silver within time. If you use cocoa butter it will help fill in the marks.

Hey, yeah theres no lotion or potion or pill that come help. Stretch marks are the very deepest layers of the skins that have been damaged/stretched. Lotions/creams just sit on top and dont do anything. Exercise doesnt help stretch marks, but the better your figure, the less you worry about the stretch marks! Focus on all your good points, heck even lots of guys have stretch marks!
Depending on your complexion, fake tan can help blend them in/ cover them.

I have this prob too, and my daughter is 1. They won't go away, but they will fade significantly. Mine still have a little bit of a purplish tone, but they are mostly silver/white. You can only really see them in certain lights, and apparantly black lights are one that they aren't visible in. Sooo...I am just sayin F*** it and I'm gonna do it! You should too(if its something you really want to do). Besides, from what I hear, tons of dancers have them! Don't sweat it. I know, I know, easier said than done. I'm with ya girl!

Okay, from what I have found myself, you can minimize the look by exfoliatiing regualrly and using a good scar lotion, I even used neosporin for awhile when I ran out of this scarzone stuff I had. After they are 6 months old you can start tanning, but don't burn them! Start slowly and only do it maybe once a week so you don't make them red. EXFOLIATE every day and use the scar cream every day, Avon has the best scar product I have found. Within a year, maybe less you will notice a huge difference, they may have faded enough that you just see tiny white streaks. It's important to start with the exfoliating and cream now, and drink lots of water. There are vitamins out there that help with cell rejenerating, just search the web for it. Vit K, C, E, A are all good to use on the scars themselves.

Go ahead and start using Mederma now, you can buy it at the drugstore (20 bucks appx) before they fade to silver like mine have. Flucuations in weight cause the skin to stretch from pregnancy to losing and gaining weight. Therefore, causing stretch marks. Working out will not get rid of them.

I must be the only 100 pound person in the world with stretch marks on my butt. I once managed to gain about 25 pounds (never found out how or why) but lost it again within two months.

I had no idea what those crazy purple lines were on my butt. I had to show my ass to my mom because I was so freaked out!
