    Default Too thin to dance?

I saw a few threads on here about being too big to dance but I didnt see anything about being too thin. That is my problem and mainly why I havent gone to try to audition yet. I feel like Im too thin. Im very small. 5 ft. 4 in. tall and weigh approximately 100 pounds. I recently got a BA to a large B/small C cup. I think Im too thin and nervous about rejection so thats what is holding me back from dancing and I really want to. What do you think?

i'm 5'5, 105. never got in my way; on the contrary. it's all about how proportionate and toned you are and how you move and carry yourself.

Just to let you know customer say all kinds of dumb junk to even the pretty girls so dont let any of them tell you any kind of crap. Dont even take em seriously.

Although your height vs. weight is low; your ideal weight is somewhere near 108lbs. But we have no idea unless you post a pic.

There are girls at my club of all shapes and sizes, and they all sell dances. In my experience, even if you're not a customer's preferred size, you will be for someone else (and soooo few are rude enough to say anything negative about a dancer to her face, unless she's rude herself). And if you have a BA, I really wouldn't worry. I'm sure you look fine. Waifish definitely works for some, especially if it's natural for your frame. Look at Kate Moss- I may be in the minority of folks, but I think she's beautiful. I also think Kate Winslet and Catherine Zeta Jones are beautiful.

Whilst it is for females who think they are too 'big/thick/whatever' to dance it can apply to you to a certain extent -- http://www.stripperweb.com/forum/showthread.php?t=60870

Being thin actually would be a plus for you to a certain extent. At the same time, not every guy wants to be able to see your bones and likes to have women with a little bit of 'meat on their bones' as they would say

Then again, it takes all types. If the clubs were filled with all the same type of women they would be absolutely boring! Variety is the spice of life and what going to a SC is all about IMO.

Just as long as you look good.. you carry yourself well and wear flattering outfits.

You'll probably get crap from other jealous dancers who will shove in your face that "they're the type to speak their minds," never mind the fact that their "assertiveness" actually resembles an entitlement complex-ridden Tourette's Syndrome. While I was dancing at my first shit hole club, there were a couple girls who would say to my face that I was too skinny and ugly compared to their real womanly curves (in their case, sagginess and cellulite). I hate how it's taboo to call someone fat, but it's ok to insult/passive-aggressively compliment skinny people to make yourself look good. This woman's rant about people ragging on her size describes it much better.

I totally agree! It's just as rude to insult skinny people. Some women are naturally skinny and have a hard time putting on weight. I'm jealous of them since they can eat whatever they want.....GRRRRRRRRRR! LOL

In response to kirah, I don't think being thin will be a problem. I've never heard of a girl being turned down from a club because she was too thin. Usually when girls don't get the job, it's because they're too heavy.

Krazyjane, I've had that happen too. And I'm NOT skinny. I'm thinnish, but 130 pounds (5'7" and a half). There are girls who will passive agressively say "oh, you know men like curves..." blah blah. Yeah, but they don't like rolls. Of course, imagine the shit I'd get if I said that?

I'm the same height and weight as you minus the boobs and I generally do well. When I first started dancing though I was a touch skinnier and tended to sometimes get the same crap inside the club as outside it - "Are you annorexic?" "You should eat more!" that sort of thing but nothing I wasn't used to. Don't let it bother you, there are enough customers who like thin. (-:

I don't think they will turn you away for being "too thin". However, if you are anorexic looking, which you shouldn't be at 64 inches and 100 lbs., you can scare them away. I have seen girls that are anorexic and it's pretty scary.

Yeah, we skinny people already have too many disadvantages. If we get stuck out in the wilderness, we'll have less fat to live off of and starve to death faster. If we get open heart surgery, we may take longer to recover due to having less energy reserves (proven medical fact). When we go shopping for clothes, all the small sizes have already been snatched up by teenybopper lolitas who want to look grown up. When we're seen eating yogurt or salads, people start referring us to counselors. We have much larger risks of going down bathtub drains. Sometime it hurts to sit on chairs because there's less padding to cushion us.

I recommend that every stripper work out, whether she's cute n' chubby, perfect, skinny, or butchy. Try body sculpting to give yourself a more defined butt, a sleek midsection that throws tiny ripples when you flex, and thicker arms.

I'm glad to see someone ask this, because it applies to me too. I'll tell you what though, we're the same height and weight and you've got B/Cs? They can't be real, can they? For one, I'm totally envious. Two, if I had Cs I think I'd fall on my face. I've got AAs.

Thank you for the comfort everyone. I do look very skinny and I all the time get people tell me I'm so small. I hate that because they say it like I dont already know this, jeeze! But I wouldnt call myself anorexic looking. I have tried eating a lot to gain weight but it hasnt worked for me. Do you think working out would make me gain weight? What kind of stuff should I do to work out to accomplish this?

Shouganai, no my boobs arent real. I got a breast augmentation back in the summer and I love it!

PS. Im going to try to post some pictures of my body soon so you all can see as soon as I can find the cords for my digital camera.

Ok I'm 5'4 and about 110 right now, and I'm a full A. I'm trying to picture myself if I was 10 lbs lighter, with bigger boobs, and I think I'd be pretty hot... lol....I really don't think you'll have a problem at all. If you want to gain weight, do some strength training. Muscle weighs more than fat. Don't do too much cardio, just stick to weights. If you gain some muscle, then you won't just look skinny, you'll look in-shape, which are 2 totally different things. And don't just eat a lot of food, but eat the right things. Carbs (potato, pasta) are great for adding weight, and eat throughout the day whenever you're hungry. But I really don't think that your weight would stop you from making money.

At 5'4" and 100 lbs with a larger B, I never have been told that I was too skinny. In fact, I am complimented over and over on how attractive my petite body looks. Although I have no ass, I am not flabby.

If I were 90 lbs, I'm certain I'd look disgusting. When I was 120 lbs, I did not carry the weight well. I think I look best between 100 and 105 lbs. This is based on my fat distribution and my frame.

If you carry your size well, there is no need to worry.

I'm not going to straight out ask for naked pictures, but I would love to see before and afters. Often on very thin people implants look terrible because there's not enough preexisting fat to cover up the roundness of the implants.

I'm pretty sure that on me it would look like someone crammed grapefruit halves under a thin layer of skin.

    Ahh, like this: http://www.awfulplasticsurgery.com/archives/006083.html

edit: I'm sure yours look great, I didn't mean it any wrong way.

kirah, for muscle definition without looking bulky and freaky check out pilates and power/ashtanga yoga. this gives you this long lean dancer look and you move more gracefully.

Did you get the kind of implants that they put under the muscle?

You're definitely not too thin. Plus you've got breasts. When I danced, I was about 100-105 and your height. That was the thinnest I'd ever been, but I still had a shape. You should do fine. Now, if your ribs and other bones are very obvious, definitely work on picking up a bit of weight.

I have totally bony knees and elbows. Oh, and my spine's a bit on the protrude-ey side, too. I've got a nice stomach, and sort of a jiggly arse. Unfortunately, I am terrible at gaining weight. Some people think I'm "perfect" and sometimes I get strangers telling me I'm "disgusting" and need to eat a hamburger.

I guess I'll let everybody know what happens when I get my first dancing job.

I have a problem !!!! I weigh 122 lbs and my height is 5'4 Many people tell me I am too thin to dance. And when I try to eat a little more all the food goes straight to my stomach. Does anybody have any special exercises that will make my stomach flatter and with a thinner waist line? Another question Does breast enhancement pills really work?

They sure don't make any pills that work, no. If they did, people wouldn't have surgery. In my experience the best stomach exercises are situps.

I have absolutely no advice for gaining weight. Let me know if you figure out how to do it.
