I will always be amazed at the attitudes of freebie/loaders. If you owned your own business, would you allow people to come in without buying anything...just to hang out and use your heat/air...taking up space that paying customers could occupy? No...which is why MOST businesses are having to say, "No loitering". That means if you are not buying, you cannot stay. How would any of you, who think staying and getting a free show, like it if you boss came in and told you that you were not going to be paid for your work today because your company had a bunch of people who just wanted the product without paying for it. You'd be raising a bitch...why should it be different for dancers or any other tip/service employee??

I butted into a conversation between a gent and the barmaid a few days ago when I was at work. Bless her heart, she was trying to encourage the man she was speaking to to tip the girl on stage.. who was and is very sexy and good stage performer.

His retrort was.. " Why should I." So, of course me being who I am butted in and popped off with .. "Because she's working, do you work for free?" He replied that he sometimes did and I flat out told him he was stupid to do so and that we, as entertainers did not.

Stupid story but the tilt of it is the same. No one works for free. Now if they get paid or not is a different issue.

    My view
    My experience

If they're not buying food/drinks/dances, I agree 100%, kick them out.

That being said, if someone is buying food/drink, and hasn't gotten a dance..

Well, it's two drink minimum, not two dance minimum. Speak to management, maybe get them to add it? It'd probably be a good idea.

Personally, I don't have an issue with guys where lap dances just aren't "their thing." If they politely explain that lap dances don't do it for them, maybe pay me a compliment, and tip the girls they like on stage, there's no problem.

I do have a problem with customers that are:
    (1) rude about their lack of desire for a dance
    (2) constantly making excuses (like "I just got here" or whatever) rather than just say "I'd rather not have a dance." If I don't catch on to it, I'll end up harrassing them again and wasting my time.
    (3) worst of all, guys who stare at the stage show like a starved dog at a bone, then proceed to ignore me or claim that they're "just here to watch the game" or they "just got here [two hours ago]" when I try and get a dance or at least a tip out of them

My whole annoyance with "I just got here" is a symptom of my larger annoyance with guys who don't seem to get that they're in strip clubs, not sports bars. Personally, my minimum for good customer behavior in a club is not getting pissy when you get hustled for dances (I don't go to your cube farm and bitch you out for filling out TFP reports, don't bitch me out for doing my job, K?) and come prepared to at least tip if you're coming to ogle (a couple bucks an hour at the rail will break the bank far far less than that $9 bottle of Bud you're drinking).

One of the girls at the club came with a good one. She says, how about I come to your office, sit in front of you at your desk and tell you I am just watching.

^ I'm sure the paper-pushers or the non-commission/non-tipped office joes would love that! LOL

I think that the 2 dance minimum should be mandatory.

It's sad how the clubs consider that the cover charge makes the freeloaders "paying customers". Most clubs don't care because they get the door fee, the drinks the customer buys, and the mandatory house fees that the dancers have to pay. The only ones losing in these situations are the dancers. If they were paid (well) by the hour, it would be one thing...but most dancers are not and will get pissed if they leave the club with less than minimum wage.

Yet, the freeloading mentality always baffled me. What makes these people think they are so "exceptional" that they don't have to pay for stuff?

I have recently taken to sometimes asking people "Hi, have you just walked in?" because we seemed to have so many "I just walked in customers". It sets the whole conversation off to a different start. (I actually did it sarcasticly the first time as i encountered about 4 "I just walked in guys in a row!) If they answer "No" then I guess you're ahead anyway, and if they answer "yes" I usually converse a little about their day etc and let them get comfortable and then join them when they've got a drink and / or a seat. I have only started doing this recently so I can't comment too much on it except to say that it seemed work better for me.

I hate it when they say this. Especially when this one girl is working who always runs to the guy that just came in so the rest of us have to be prepared to do the same if we want to make any money at all. Things would be so much easier if they would just not lie and tell us if we're not their type or if they're just broke or stupid. But I guess men just can't ever tell the truth.

I was wondering if I should throw in an opinion on this due to possible flames, but hey, I love being a Devil's Advocate....

I think there's two types, the freeloaders and the guys who don't see anything worthy to tip/get a dance with. It's a small difference, but important..

A freeloader imho will pay the cover and get NOTHING else.....boot his ass.

The other guys are picky. I think it's because, to them, they're not doing anything worth paying for. They paid the pricey cover, they paid for the overpriced food and drink, so they don't get a dance or don't tip most girls if they don't think they're worthy.

As for naked chicks? There are a lot hotter ones on the Net for free to gawk at, usually. So why not stay home, you ask? No music/environment/drinks/food at home, and they're paying for that.

Hence, the refusal or denial to get at a minimum, one dance.

A really hot or intriguing girl to that gentleman may break the wall, I think, but usually there's precious few in a club that can get to those guys and they're usually busy.

Just my two cents, rip it apart at will.

Well why not just say so? Isn't that better than looking like a total bum?

I don't like blonds or your boobs are too/big small or I don't like blue eyes is much better and easier to accept than dumb silence and "Not right now." Geesh.

Social reasons. The strip club is a different world, but we still bring in elements of the real world. They won't say that because they'd never say that to a girl outside the club, either.

That and the feeling that bouncers would rip their arms off if they started calling Dancers ugly sluts .

People like that are annoying. I'm going to try the "still trying to figure out if you like girls or not?" line too.

Oh bah.. they have no problem telling us that they want to take us away from all of this and asking us what "else' we do for a living or asking for sex.. or a blow job or a hand job... etc etc. Really now .. social reasons? Thats sort of a lame excuse.

I've yet to get called an "ugly slut".. then again I have had guys tell me in a most charming way that they did not fancy blonds or that I was to tall. Which is fine. A lot better than looking like a rude butt head and sitting by yourself.

Because usually I will go out of my way to find a girl he -does- like.

Usually the guys who ask that have gotten a dance with you, though, or aren't the types not to have a dance with you.

Always exceptions. The ugly slut thing was an exaggeration, mainly to make the bouncer point, but I still think it fits. I get slightly awkward just thinking about going "No, I'm sorry, I don't fancy small chest size." It's why I just say "No thank you" .

The posters on this messageboard are not the average Dancer, I'd think, but the cream of the crop in all ways.

I still say guys are weird. Then again as you said, there are always exceptions.
