Default Commonwealth Games or Clipsal 500?

This question is aimed at the Australian dancers or anyone who has had any experience with similiar events (ie olympic games and any motor-racing event like NASCAR).

There is a weekend (Fri-Sun) in March where both of these events happen... I definatley know I want to travel Thu-Sun on this weekend to work one of these events... the question arises.. which one?

Would the Commonwealth Games really be that lucrative compared to something like Clipsal (which is traditionally a good time to work in Adelaide since strippers and motorsport seem to go hand in hand) ?

Anyone worked during the Olympics (in Sydney or where-ever) as the Commonwealth games is similiar just smaller (amongst the Commonwealth nations only)? What is your experience? Is all hype and not good money for strippers?

I worked in Sydney during the Olympics and the only really busy night was the night of the closing ceremony.
The only car related event i've worked at is Sumernats so from my experience i'd work the clipsal.
In fact i may even be working in Melbourne at that time as i arrive there in about 10 days. Once we've found a place, headed north to see family, returned, and lost some more of this weight that i've gained i'll be ready to get back to work.

Club-wise Indy is definately busy and I can honestly say that one of the few times I made $1000 in one night's work was during the last Indy I worked within a club (2004). Last Indy (2005), I stuck to topless waitressing gigs which was lucrative enough.

I'm thinking I will go to Clipsal as it will be a great way for me to try to get some topless waitress and show bookings for Indy as alot of the V8 guys from Clipsal will (hopefully) be going to Indy. So whilst I may not make bank at Clipsal... I may during Indy sort-of-thing.

As I thought, the Commonwealth Games isn't going to be as lucrative as all the clubs are trying to make it out to be... I think I will stick with motorsport... V8s. Besides, I'm a FORD girl.. and I totally love the whole Ford vs Holden thing... I know how to work it.

Clipsal in Adelaide it is then. I will be working at 108s at that time (like I did last time).

for the info. it really did help me make a decision !!
