I looooove Pleasure brand. Been buying them for my last 4 pairs of shoes. Also depends on how big/wide/skinny your feet are with both brands.
Best bet it double strap or ones with a strap for the ankle to stay put.
Btw I love this site and ordered there myself www.snaz75.com

I'm a pleaser girl myself...don't know why but they just feel more comfortable - I keep buying ellie shoes hoping that it was just the one pair that felt bad and it's not the case for me.

I like both, but probably prefer Pleasers over Ellie...
Pleaser-I have wide feet
Your feet are going to hurt regardless of what shoes you buy. I myself have bought both brands, but I prefer Pleaser for more durability -- I've had my heel break on a pair of Ellie boots the first night I wore them; bummer. Be sure to buy some extra cushion for your feet and bring lots of aspirin -- I'm not kidding about the aspirin. Good Luck!

Both are good brands and have alot of different styles. On almost all my Pleaser shoes the rubber sole comes loose but that's fixed easily enought with super glue. I just got some from Ellie and it seems that they have stretched a bit more than my Pleasers usually do. Still wearable but I'm gonna have to get some pads for them.
can i throw in Jante
Seriously I've owned the same 3 pairs of shoes ( white and black ) Same damn Clear ones
for 4.5 years now. Never had a break, tear or snap.
None of them cost over 35 bucks
I actually prefer ellie, depending on what I'm looking for. I've always had good luck with their boots, and I find ellie to be more comfortable than some other brands. I wear other brands also, but I love every pair of ellie shoes that I've ever ordered.
Hey thanks guys, I have wide feet, I am going to go with pleaser.
TONY SHOES!!!!! The best. Love 'em!
It takes 46 muscles to frown but only 4 to flip 'em the bird

Oh yeah, Jante is good too.I wear mine almost every night!
Also wide feet here. Does everyone agree Pleaser?

The best thing about them is that they are made here in the US, and not by overseas children getting ripped off for thier labor. as far as the ellie pleaser thing goes, I prefer pleaser over ellie or jante. Pleasers are made with a solid platform that never breaks. ellie and jante have split platforms, and I see alot of dancers (Like myself) who are hard on thier shoes bust the heels on split platforms all the time; they just aren't made as well. Theyre really only good for photo shoots, and that's about it.
I've used one pair of Pleaser shoes every night for almost a year now. The rubber soles come off, but super glue fixes it just fine (someone already said that). My feet are very wide too. When I first got them, I stretched them with a shoe widener thing (anybody know what I'm talking about). Anyway, really like those Pleaser shoes.
OK, got my first pair of pleaser shoes!!! ok, so my first pair of shoes period! Anyways, another question, I got plain platforms with ankel straps(due to all of the valuable information here!), however, what do you guys think of those light up shoes- I thought they were cool, but are they "in". I figure I will learn how to walk in these before I start being creative, but they are pretty neat- liked the ones with the flames too!
Shoes are shoes-Ive seen so many variations that Im sure no one would care if your shoes lit up or not.

I am in the minoirty, but I still have my first pair of Ellies. THey have been to the shoe maker once to have the buckles moved over, and once to have the ankle strap reinserted under the sole. The only thing that is wrong with them is that the insoles are wearing out from over use. I am in my shoes up to 10 hours a day, up to 5 days a week, so they do take a lot of wear and tear.

I personally think light-up shoes are a little much for some clubs. I work it a more upscale place that tends to be quite dim, and so light-up shoes are seriously distracting and almost seizure-inducing. The one girl who tried wearing them ended up taking them off again after about 15 minutes.
Hey thanks for the opinions guys- Chloethered, your response is almost exactly what I was thinking- as cool as they look, they probable wouldn't be all that cool at my club either- which is nicer than most in the area(not that we have a whole hell of alot here).
In my opinion Jante and Pleaser are made for girls with high arches, and Ellie is not. Ellie shoes are nice because most of them have padding but they are more flat footed. I have had a problem with shoes because I have high arches and I am a 7 1/2. I found some relief with Pleasers...I buy them a little small (7) and then stretch them out...When the initial pain is over I have a nice comfy pair of heels that fit as good as my own skin!
neither... sunset strip

I have to add Dallas Heights and NYLA. The heels last long. The sandals don't stretch out of shape. I flip backward off the pole a few times a night. It took a year of hard landings to crack those babies. My other brands didn't make it past six months!
I have never tried these shoes....I will have to try some....
So, Ellie and Pleaser are the same company, basically... family owned, in China, the daughter branched off (from Ellie) after a fight with Dad to form Pleaser. Pleaser has better customer service (which you'll really only use if you're a wholesaler), but they both use the exact same factory.
