    Default Fitting In

What space do you all feel that you most in in? Do you think there's a space in the world where everyone all fits in perfectly with no problems based on identity differences?

all the yoga studios i've been to gave me a feeling that it's a great social equalizer... as well as unitarian churches. other than that, there's a saying, don't remember exactly, "don't change your colors, and the walls will change their colors to match yours"

but that's just been my experience...and who am i right?
why do some people still have to fight to get the same opportunities that are given to others?

p.s. another quote i like is "everyone is bald underneath their hair". wherever i am i keep in mind that ultimately we all have the same fate, all will die, all have problems, and everything depends on your perception. once you die, as far as you're concerned the world dies with you. when you keep seeing the bigger pic, most of external differences become insignificant.

imagine someone very introverted and asocial. someone who thinks they don't fit in and don't belong anywhere. then that person does a certain drug or gets drunk, and all of the sudden they love everyone and think everyone loves them, and don't give a second thought to whether they fit in or not. so it's all in the mind. you can trick your mind into that state without even getting high.

I have never felt like I "fit in". The routine the the majority of American's seem to have bores me to pieces.

LOL somehow,I imagined a 20 ft. TM trying to fit into a house that had only 9 ft. ceilings when I read this.

yay! my cat loves me too, and I am also a home-body........ I don't worry about fitting in. I don't care enough about it, and that was just a lesson learned as i got older......... I've never "fit in", not in grade school/middle school/highschool not ever... I have 35% of my body tatooed, so alot of people are intimidated at first... If they only knew to just ask me questions.... then they would see that I'm not so tough........ the truth is I'm just very shy.... you would never guess I was shy If you saw me at work on the floor..... go figure............

^^ i feel the same way. i used to have a work philosophy (sp - can't spell worth shit) "i'm not here to make friends. if i do that's cool. if i don't...that's cool too". these days it pertains to life in general. for some odd reason people get quiet on me when i say that.....i don't understand.

I fit in really well with myself, and I like myself so it works for me :-)

I have, at almost 40, finally found that place...Disneyworld. Met so many types of people from everywhere in the world and never once felt like it was odd to be in their company.

I LOVE to be alone at home, I was always the weird book worm in school and then turned goth and that didn't help! Now as a dancer with blonde hair and a tan, I am approached by the "cool" kids, but I still don't fit in to me.
I enjoy reading outside with my dogs. There is a great field by my house where they can roam and I can sit in the sun and just take the world in.
But, when I am drunk I feel like I fit in EVERYWHERE... he he good old liquid courage.
Please don't lick me, it tickles..
