Just curious, what is the worst insult that a customer has told you while working?
I've had a few, but the worst/most memorable occured when I first started dancing. I was kinda shy and awkward at first, and not exactly a big hustler, only because the stripping industry was a new thing to me. Some guy said I was "too humble to be a dancer." ?!!!
This is how it went. I approached a group of middle-aged guys for tips/dances, and one of the guys sat me down at a round table inches away from his group, giving me the third degree, asking lots of questions. "Where are you from?" "What got you into dancing?" etc. Nothing new or creative, same old mundane cliched questions. Then in the middle of our convo, he interrupts to say, "Who's that over there? Yeah her, Pink Cheeks", referring to another dancer in hot-pink boy shorts. Then he gets up in the middle of the convo, and takes the girl in pink to the couch room, leaving me by my lonesome! So he wasted my time, didn't even say "excuse me," and couldn't even be bothered to call the other dancer a more respectable name...he used the sexist term "pink cheeks"! But that's not all. Later on after doing my set on stage, I make my way around the outside of the bar to the same group of guys. They tip me dollars, but the *dickhead* from before simply says "You're too humble to be a dancer." So what's he expect me to do?! Sacrifice the good money of dancing, to work as a lowly min-wage Walmart cashier, simply because I'm HUMBLE?? Be used as a cheap time-filler conversationalist until he can find someone better? Get passed over for dances(i.e., money), simply because I wasn't aggressive or slutty? The last thing I wanted to be, was known as conservative or HUMBLE.
