    Default brass poles

Please can someone tell me how to clean a brass pole (with what) so that the pole is not so sticky you cant spin on it. I have a brass pole for the first time after using stainless steel and I find spinning really difficult on it...any tips for easier spinning too on brass? Thanks

Well Brasso works wonders, but you have to wipe it off really well.

I use a little well gin on the pole to keep it clean and to kill any germs on it, and to make it "tacky".

    Hi Sootica hun .

    I had a question for ya (If you don't mind, of course...);

    1. Where did you get your pole from?
    2. Is it removable?
    3. How much?

Girl, I've been searchin for one of these things and it seems they don't make them in brass anymore because of complaints of tarnish. I prefer the look and feel of brass personally. I did find one, but it was unjustifiably expen$ive.

    *Thanx*

Brass is far better, and worth the money--if you can afford it--which I can't right now, lol (too many other priorites). The spinning thing will still work, you just have to get used to the new feel.

Whats "well gin", Kitana? Like for "well drinks"?

Thanks Kitana, for the advice on the brasso..Yeh, what's "well gin"??? Never heard of it, or maybe just know it by another name.

And for HOT2TROT, I bought my pole from Platinum Stages, its the actual platinum stage pole that comes with the platform and the pole is self sustaining in the stage. No mounting to ceiling/floors, nor does it touch the ceiling. When you order this pole on their website, you have a choice of the pole material ...I just chose brass which was one of the options. I think it only cost $29 more than the steel.
The basic package is $369 without any extras. The service was quick and i like the pole very much. It has the option of coming with a quck release mechanism which I bought but there is no way in hell I would be able to get that thing down in a hurry.
I have attached a picture of this pole for ya! xx

I always cleaned with Windex or if it was really bad, I'd grab some alcohol.

"Well" gin is the cheap stuff, yes, it is what is poured for a well drink (i.e. gin/tonic).

Yeah Platinum Stages sells brass poles individually (without the stage) as well. I'm thinking about getting one, despite all the bad stuff I've read about their customer service on here. But I really want brass! Pole Danzer also does brass, but their website is really unprofessional looking so I kind of don't trust their quality.
Here's another company with brass poles, though they're crazy expensive:
