    Arrow Help/Advice for Fundraiser

    Hi All:
This spring, we are having a themed party and we are going to raise money for a charity.
The problem is, is that 99% of charity organizations will not accept money from a SC. In the past, we've worked with the National Childhood Cancer Foundation. This time around, we want to focus on Breast Cancer Awareness, and so I am on the lookout for this sort of charity.

Have any of you worked with a breast cancer foundation for any events? Can anyone suggest a charity?

Any help would be appreciated, as many doors have been shut for me.

    Thanks girls!

I happen to know that the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society will take our money. Blood cancer research benefits suferers of ALL kinds of cancer, because blood cancers are rather "primative" and research that applies to blood cancer often applies to other kinds of cancer as well.

Really? Every summer my club does a charity event for Big Brothers Big Sisters, and they take our money. You'd think that if an organization for kids would accept money from a strip club, then anyone would.
Take the road less traveled- just make sure you have a map.

You can read up on our similar efforts at

We've had a lot of issues with cancer agencies denying us...it's not all evil, their reasons are valid, imo. They can't accept a small donation from strippers if it means that they have to give up a half million dollar donation from someone who opposes strippers. Sad but true. However, charities that DO accept dancer money should be applauded and showered with stripper money

    Lunchbox:
Thanks ---but I contacted the Susan G. Komen Society, and they sent me back a very generalized letter, and said that though we couldn't use their name AT ALL, we could use the pink ribbon, and they'd still accept a check from us (secretly, of course)-
Like, are you friggin kidding me? Sneaky sneaky...
I don't like being treated like a two-bit whore, and giving away the money for free! I like working with organizations that recognize the good deeds us strip clubs do! We aren't bad people!

In any case, I found a WONDERFUL breast cancer organization to work with: The Libby Ross Foundation.
The people there were very interested to work with someone so unique (us) and they were a pleasure!
If anyone on here needs their contact info, feel free to pm me.

    Awesome!

I know, it's quite rude how they ask that the money be donated anonymously. Trying to pass the buck. As if they don't realize how insulting it is.
I'd rather they just explain it point blank: we can't because your money is not enough to make up for the donation we might lose from Lady ChristianEvangelist. At least then we're treated like rational adults.

    Again, congrats and yay!
