Default Breakups, weight loss, and motivation

As some of you may have read in the "ladies Only" section, I recently went through a rather devestating breakup. In the grieving process, I lost 15 pounds. I haven't been working, and with the stress of school and life in general, i reached an all time high of 152 (UGH!) (I'm 5'4). I am now 137.

Well, i've decided to take that awful breakup, and turn lemons into lemonade. Since the breakup made me lose weight (I couldn't hold down food for days) I figured I'd use it to jumpstart a complete body and life makeover.

My ultimate goal, is to be 125 (I went to a a few doctors and nutrionists, who told me that if I just keep my current muscle level, my ideal weight would be about 115-120) but I really enjoy weight training and want to do a lot of that (muscle weighs mor ethan fat, so i figured I could a few pounds over the ideal, but be muscular and toned), so I thought 125 would be better (if I reach 125 and still look chubby, I'll alter my goal)

Could youg irls give me soem tips on motivation, what gets you into a cardio groove, how do you fight cravings? When Iw atch TV, I always feel like I need to snack, any tips on fighting that back?

I hate cardio, so I can't give you much advice on that! But if you find you're snacking when you watch tv, (I do too) get a bottle of water and take a sip every time you're hungry. You'll get hydrated and it does wonders for cravings.

If you want to make a long term change and stay motivated, look into signing up for one of those body transformation contests. The 2 big ones right now are EAS's Body for Life and Instone's Challenge (Stallone's company). They are great programs to help you stay focused and provide you with incentives to change - various prizes to the winners. They are both free to join, I think you just need to use one of their supplements a month - probably a $20-$30 cost.
