    HOW TO: Hire a Driver/Security ?

I am asking this question for everyone who is curious as to how they go about finding a person who can be their driver/security/bouncer.

Also, what do you usually get someone doing this 'job' to do? How much do you pay them ? Does your agency you work with/for provide you one ?

One last question... if you do not have alot of work for this person would you pay them a 'wage' as such so as to 'reserve' them for any last minute bookings ???

I ask the last question specifically to help me as none of my friends can help me out so as I can be available for bookings in a larger area such as Brisbane, Gold Coast and Tweed regions.... I currently stick to just working Gold Coast because I don't have a driver/security which is why I lack work.

I have a few drivers that I use - one I met via my agency, two are my friends, one is my boyfriend's friend. I think my agency usually keep a list of drivers' numbers for girls who are looking for one.

The role my driver plays is - organise my music while i'm getting ready, catch my clothes when I take them off so they don't get stolen or anything, and pick up my stuff for me when I'm finished so I don't have to clamber around naked. And obviously, he stands there looking tough so guys don't mess with me lol I pay my drivers $20 per show which is the standard here, unless the show requires driving outside the CBD in which case I pay more depending on how far we gotta go.

Because I use a few different drivers, if something comes in last minute I just send out text messages until I find someone who is available. Occasionally noone is, so I either ask my boyfriend nicely if he can drive me, or I just have to decline the show.

I would ask bouncers from the club if they'd like to make a few extra bucks. In Austin I charged $300/hr for parties and would tip the bouncer anywhere from $40 on up depending on my final take with tips. Valets and security from the club are a good place to start, then guy friends who are dependable and cool. I was fortunate to have a friend who was great at parties and also had previously worked at clubs. As a very last resort, and only if I knew someone previously, I would drive myself and call to check in before and at a predetermined time after the party. Though I only did this twice, not counting the party I did for an ex-boyfriend's friend.

I would not pay a wage; only on a party-by-party basis. They're contract work just like you.

edit: you know, if you are really strapped maybe you could wrangle a cabbie into being your driver? Just a thought.

Don't the agencies that you book with have any connections? I'd expect they should, considering that their buisness requires them.

Kinda depends on the menu. Are you offering FS shows or just skin? Been my experience that FS bouncers/bodyguards are readily available do a trade out. I get them from the club and pay $40 for driving and zip if I am included in the deal.

^^^She's just doing short striptease shows and I doubt they'd accept a lapdance as pay.

and hey, that's true about the agency--I would expect them to know someone. Although frequently they don't.

I'm not escorting here... it is strip-o-grams as such. The furtherest I go is natural masturbation currently.

As for the agencies, I will ask them to see if they can recommend someone so I can work Sunshine Coast/Brisbane/Tweed regions not just Gold Coast. At the same time, I'm not exactly over-flowing with bookings so they may/may not give me one (read: I'm not blonde with big tits so I'm not at the top of any agencies list for bookings as well as not doing full on XXX shows nor duo shows... I do not want to change my 'look' as totally works in my favour at strip clubs.)

Put an ad out in the newspaper, or contact security firms, a lot of security people will not act as a driver. So you may have to hire two seperate people or drive yourself. Off duty cops or county sheriffs are usually good choices when people contact you. try to get several people who have varying schedules, compensation might seem high but it's worth it. If you have a couple of jobs in a night and only have to pay the guy 25.00 or more an hour, you can make that in tips. So it works out. A lot of girls just hire guys they know though, it depends on you.

Thanks for the offer Rach, does he have a car and would be able to pick me up from the Gold Coast as I would only do Brisbane if I had multiple bookings (be it shows and/or waitressing) ???

In answer to your concern about your boy just standing outside the door.. well... he would come in, explain the rules, set up and then when it comes to the vibe part of the show (the last 5 or so minutes usually) he can just not look if he is very uncomfortable with it.

If he's in a hotel room with you doing a show, he can stand in the next room (a bedroom or balcony). If you're doing a show at a function room (or similiar large room) he can just stand nearby with his back turned to you whilst still being in ear shot (so that he doesn't have to see what you are doing yet your safety is still there).

Maybe you could ask around at a nearby college. College guys always need money and are fit enough to take care of things.

I operate THE GREATEST STRIPPER AGENCY IN CONNECTICUT ... EVER! :

Any person you trust can be a driver ... but a GREAT driver, is GREAT HYPE MAN who will help you make more money during your show ... whenever I drive parties I yell shit out all the time to get the crowds fired up ... I AM LIKE FLAVOR FLAV during a show ...

Here are some lines you can steal (they're not too original ... however)

    • "THE BIGGER BILLS YOU GET YOU THE BIGGER THRILLS!!!"
    • "IT'S MORE THAN A DOLLA TO MAKE THESE LADIES HOLLA!!!"
    • "THESE LADIES DON'T DO ANYTHING STRANGE FOR CHANGE!!!"
    • "A ONE IS FUN, BUT WE NEED A FIVE TO MAKE'EM COME ALIVE, A TEN TO BE YOUR FRIEND, A TWENTY TO TASTE THE HONEY ... DON'T BE THRIFTY, THROW THAT FIFTY!!!"
    • "YOU OPEN YOUR MOUTH, YOU GOTTA OPEN YOUR WALLET"

    • "THESE GIRLS ARE WORKING HARD TO PAY THEIR COLLEGE TUITION ... "
(That line will always get you laughs ... It's good to follow this line with)
    • "THE BLONDE IS GONNA BE A MARINE BIOLOGIST!!!"
    • "NOW IF YOU BELIEVE THESE CHILDREN ARE THE FUTURE, YOU'LL OPEN UP YOUR HEARTS AND YOUR WALLET"

also, go with non-threatning looking guys or even better, another woman; it will put your crowd more at ease and increase your tips than if you came with some big black dude who make the crowd feel like there being supervised.

I'm just curious about insurance. What happens if something happens, and either the driver kicks someones ass, or gets his ass kicked. What liability is there for potential problems. Can the driver be sued if he beats someone up that gets outta line? I suppose these questions apply to "friends" used as driver/security protection.

GoldCoastGirl, finding a driver can be a difficult task, one of the places you could look is regulars at clubs (if you dance there). Thats how I started.

They need to be reliable and dependable, the girls working in the clubs will know them and be able to sort out the stalkers from the genuine guys.

As for what I do, The girls I drive, well depending on what sort of job they are doing means a different level level of attention.

If its a strip (basic, fruit n veg, pearls etc) I will always go in, get payment, organise music and lay down ground rules (Here for a good time, No photo's, No touching - break the rules and we will leave straight away) - This is important If at anytime things look dicey you need to have a pre-arranged signal to get out of there - no questions or delays.

Boat trips - I hate those cause you're basically stuck on the boat no matter what happens, Its always good to have driver drop you off and pick you up, that way the guys (on the boat) know that there is someone else who knows whats going on and expecting you to return.

Waitressing - I pretty much act as a taxi service for these type jobs, but I will always suss things out before I leave (I have dropped some girls to parties and literally 'invited' myself in to see all is ok.. I have only twice in two years had to cut a job short because they were getting out of hand)

There is no need to get physical at jobs.. I find psychology works best... My favourite is telling a punter 'Do you want to tell the buck why the stripper is leaving? or do you want to rethink taking a photo with your mobile phone?' usually the more 'sober' guys will sort out their mate.

As for payment, well it depends, you need to come to an arrangement with him.
Here in Perth I work on sliding scale - if its taxi type work I work on half what a taxi would charge, If a girl wants to book me for the night (usually mix of waitressing and strips) $20 per waitress job and $50 per strip. If the jobs are like well and truely out of town then we usually come to an arrangement ($50 - $100 or more plus fuel)

Encourage your driver to get work from other girls in the agency as well (refer them of course) that way if you have say two waitress jobs, they aren't spending the entire night twiddling their thumbs around the corner thinking about the $40 pay they'll get for 4-6 hours work on a friday night they could have been drinking with their mates.

On a passing note.. any wanna be drivers reading this.. A couple of ground rules..
    - No drinking on the job, you need to have your wits about you, and need to watch your and the girls back.
    - What gets said in the car, stays in the car -trust me you do not want to repeat what gets said in the car about other girls, cause it will come back to bite you.
    - be realistic about timeframes for getting from a to b, dont risk your license trying to achieve the impossible, it only attracts the boys in blue and further delay.
    - girls, be accomodating of your driver, if he says its gonna be tight to get you to a job, be on time, nothing worse than socialising at the end of a job to only have to face an angry crowd at the next cause your half an hour late.

Yikes this post turned out bigger than I expected.. sorry for the novel

    Cheers

I was told that once I start featuring, if I bring a roadie with me and something happens and the roadie hits a customer, I actually could be sued, because the roadie is my employee, and therefore I would be responsible for damages. So basically if a fight broke out in the club, my roadie's job would be to make sure I get out of the area safely and to keep me out of the way, and let the bouncers do the breaking up of the fight. I'm not sure how things would work if your driver/roadie stepped in during a private party outside of the club. He would be there to protect you, so I would imagine that if someone tried to start something and he had to get physical to protect you, then I don't think he would get sued, because that would be his job- to be a bouncer/bodyguard. I'm not sure on this though- maybe someone else knows for sure?
Take the road less traveled- just make sure you have a map.

    Hi MadisonM

Not sure how correct this answer will be, but anyway heres what I think.

It would come down to self defence - As far as I understand it being able to claim self defence in a court situation means you have to prove that 'you' (Driver/roadie) had a reasonable expectation that physical harm was about to befall you. If this does occur (ie physical harm) then roadie is authorised to use reasonable force to protect himself (bear in mind that if someone punches him he cant whip out a samurai sword and slash the guy to ribbons, he has to respond with equal force).
Obviously as soon as someone does punch (or kicks or slices with knife etc) him it becomes 'Assault' and your roadie has the right to prosecute in the courts himself (assault and battery or assault with deadly weapon, etc).

Another interesting thing to bear in mind, 'Assault' can be verbal or as little as touching someone with your pinky finger?? (The courts would probably laugh at this situation though)

Now obviously this is going to be hard to justify in a court, (You and the roadie verses 20 people from the party who will back up their mates version of events).

In a club situation, the bouncers there would be licensed (and therefore have their own insurance). Your roadie should not get involved except to protect you and get you out of harms way, If in the process of doing this he is injured then the above would apply. (Clubs should also be able to provide security camera footage that would show who the assailants are)

On a general note a good roadie/driver should be able to identify when trouble is brewing and take steps to minimise or avoid the situation. In my experience it is always easier to have a word to the guy who organised the party (or a more sober guy at the party) and let him know that things seem to be going a little 'sour' and that if it is not rectified then the stripper (and all other girls organised for the rest of the night) will be leaving early and/or not turning up at all. This usually will get them sorting out their own mates without driver/roadie lifting a finger or endangering himself or you in the process.

Please any legal eagles or more experienced people with the law please correct me if what I have said above is correct or needs to be clarified further.

    Cheers Driver31

Hey-- Hope this info is still helpful. If you're in a college town, contact the different Fraternities and talk to the Treasurer or the Vice President; they tend to know who is dependable and who needs the money. Also, ask each fraternity their viewpoint on the other fraternities-- you want to make sure you don't get the fraternity that is under investigation for rape by one of its members (which sadly, happens occasionally enough in the frat world to warrant being extra careful). I paid mine $20 per hour plus a $10-$20 tip (and occasionally more if there was an extra drive, or it was a rough party.) I never paid them less than $30 for a one-party night, but if there were like three parties, I would pay $20-$25 per party.

You can get some really great dependable guys, but a lame part of bouncing is that a lot of guys (who think bouncing is "cool" rather than a job) do it for about two months and then don't want to do it anymore. So always keep networking for bouncers, and if you see another girl working with a great bouncer (or needing a great bouncer) always trade phone numbers so that you get a bouncer, or your bouncer gets more work.

I generally drive myself to/from my bookings. I contact my flatmate before and after the booking telling him where I am and what time I am expected to finish. If I don't call within 5 minutes of when I am expected to finish the booking to call my phone. I only do this as the majority of booking here "at home" are waitress bookings which are quite harmless (98% of the time).

For private party bookings it is very rare for me to be the lone waitress so I am 'safe' to a certain extent. I'm usually only the lone waitress for the pub/tavern type of bookings.

    Anyway, after all that speel

What happens if the girl is the driver and all she requires is someone as her security/dj/money handler/navigator (tell me which exit to take, look out for the turn offs etc) ???

Since I will have the car keys upon me... how will this work?

I only ask I bought my car for work purposes and it is the only reason I will keep it. It is currently purely tax deductible due to being bought and used purely for income producing activities (business/work).

Should I instead just have the security/DJ/money-handler drive in his own car with me following him as such or meeting him at the booking????

My driver came with the agency and he is great! Works very well with me and runs the whole show. I let him do the hustling while I stand by looking pretty. I find that the more I hustle, the more men are turned off. I love our dynamic and we bank almost every night. I give him 20% of tips after agency fees are paid, and he is worth it.

Reviving an old thread: What if I am the driver (I am driving, it is my car) and my "security" is just security plus someone to direct me where to go (as well as answer my phone whilst I am driving, make calls to the contact person at the party, etc) ? How much should I pay ?

^ depends on the person. i've done that before and instead of paying them $20/show, i've just paid $10. last weekend i had a friend come with me and she wouldn't accept any payment for it, so yeah, it depends on who the person coming with you is.

Glad i found this thread because i was interested in doing private dancing next month during break. I also want to just drive myself and have the guy as security. I have a guy friend who i think could do it, he is short but works out hardcore and i think could handle his own. Any of you ladies have bouncers that are not intimidating by being tall? I would say 30 bucks at the most for security in my situation, but i would handle my own music and it would not be a big party.
Gold Coast please let me know how you go about doing this and how it worked for you.

I drive myself and my flatmate who is short for a guy is my security as such. I now pay him $20 per show if it is XXX and $10 per show if it is not. He helps me out in re: directions (reminds me where I should turn, etc) and esp. helps me out when I get a last minute booking "on the road" so that I can keep driving (finds the way there).

He sets up the show area, explains the rules, handles my music, handles my clothes (you definatley need someone to hold your clothes!) and keeps an eye on my stuff (my props).

He isn't bulky however he can look intimidating if and when he needs to be esp. with his leather jacket on... as long as your guy friend is professional and doesn't get "turned on" by the show (my flatmate and I are like brother/sister since we've lived together for soooo damn long so there is no worries for me there plus it isn't like he hasn't seen it before..lol!)

It is working out for me. One more thing I will get him to do is to hand out business cards at the end of the show when I am packing up as I keep forgetting to do it as I am too busy packing up to remember ....

Adding to this thread because it's relevant/funny (and I was searching for agencies, blah, where IS that thread?)....

My partner was my security for the first time Saturday night. I had to get a taxi because it was last minute at 2am, and I grabbed him and made him my security.

I must severely overpay though, because I pay $20 per 15 minutes. LOL... oh well...

Anyway, I wanted to also make sure my partner was cool and knew what I did 100%. He was perfectly alright with it actually and got extremely aroused, lol!

Remind me to make my partner security again, 'cause it turned out very well when I got home.

Plus my base pay for him was spent on me anyway. Heehee.
