    Thumbs up Salt scrub

I tried a new bodyscrub, something the roomie brought from a recent trip. Coconut salt scrub from 310 - all I can say is WOW!!! This stuff made my skin feel fandamntabulous!!! I've used lots of bodyscrubs (including salt scrubs) before, but this is way better. I looked on their website to see if I could buy more, and damn the bad luck! Not listed on their site. Geeeeezz!!!

    Whats a 310?
you live like an ivy vine
you can only survive by clinging onto trees
    that's your flaw
put down some roots so you can stand on your own

Me and one of my friends were experimenting a little, making our own bath bombs and salt and sugar scrubs. They are very easy to make, and it's actually fun (Unless i'm just a nerd and love arts and crafts) All you need for a basic salt/sugar scrub is salt and or sugar, mix it with something to bind it (we've tried everything from Vitamin E to canola oil - which is great with salt in a foot scrub) and the scents! Check online for easy recipes....

I make a brown sugar scrub with olive, macadamia, and kukui nut oils. I'm gonna have to try it with coconut oil next time.

how about binding it with honey?

also could you take your favorite body butter and just add a lil epsom salt or table salt to it?

    Mia,
where do you get the macadamia and kukui nut oils? I've been wanting to make my own brown sugar scrub...mine is just too expensive to keep buying! Also, do you know where to get some avocado oil?

TM - 310 is the brand I reckon. There's a website on the tub:

I think I'm gonna have to try making my own with coconut oil too. I checked out their prices and no WAY will I be buying anymore of that! I shall have to thank the roomie again for bringing it to me and turning me on to it

Per the question regarding where to get the more exotic oils:
Trader Joe's or WholeFoods, or any other hippie health store.
Also, you can look online to buy directly from producers. I remember when I was making lotion bars which require beeswax, and I got a great deal from a beekeeper in AZ. So either Hawaii for kukai or macadamia oils, or CA/FL for the avocado one.

Wholefoods or Vitamin Cottage for the more "exotic" oils. I'm originally from Hawaii so I just pick up some oils whenever I visit home, too. The macadamia and kukui nut oils can get expensive, so I'll only use one part of those to two-three parts olive oil.

I love body scrubs! One of my faves is The Sanctuary Salt Scrub, its perfect for sloughin away dead skin and leaves skin smelling great and silky smooth.
