After seeing the suggestion for a sticky thread for new songs, I thought to myself--why not have a sticky thread for new songs in the four basic categories?

And this one is for new techno... Since it is pretty late here, I have worked 7 of the last eight days during Race Week, and am on the verge of collapsing, lol, I'm going to wait a bit to post my own songs.

OK, I'll make the first suggestion:

    Dave Clarke - Techno Slut

It's fairly new and I'm really lovin' it!

ooooooooh and I really like his "What Was Her Name" with Chicks on Speed. Blackstrobe mix. The LFO mix is cool too if you're ok with no lyrics.

Damn, I just got back from the CD store, now it's too late to get those. Maybe I can Limewire them, though--thanks!

Sigh...you knew I'd jump on this one. As a reminder; my husband is a strip club DJ(16yrs) AND a deep prog house DJ (9 yrs). I am self-appointed music hunter for him on the internet; and I have LOTS of time to do it. If interested please check out my posts in this fourm under Heads Up! New Songs to see the kind of things I find.

    Short list for now:

Sunshine of Your Love--Cream vs. the Hoxtons (Hoxton Whores Club Mix)

Stunt--Raindrops (not really tech as such; but good)

Marly--Saturday (again more dance than tech; GREAT GREAT GREAT ENERGY!!)

Be back later; I have to check my huge library and get back to you 'cause I haven't posted about this in months.
ON EDIT: Maybe we need a separate section for dance; or please add that to the tag description? Alot of the stuff I'm going to post is less tech than dance if you know what I mean. Anyway; with that:
I like the new PINK!!! I recommend; except you have to cut out that middle section with the voimiting. Maybe a remix will surface soon?
    Back later.....

Yes, I knew you would, lol...

I'm planning to finally take the time to get a wireless connection tomorrow, and will no longer be plagued by slow speed. Now I can start getting all the good shit I missed here over the years.

The Cream remix should be very interesting.

If you like any of DJ X's CDs, you Should check out his Club Experience, Vol 3.

I picked it up without checking it out first since I like most (if not all) his others, and was in a hurry. When I listened to it the next day, for some reason I didn't like it, and never used it until recently.

If you don't like female vocal techno, forget it, but if you do, the first 3-4 songs will make getting the whole CD worth it.

The first track is by Plummet, "Cherish the Day" (Xquizit DJ X remix}, with what sure still sounds like Sade singing.

Number 3 is my favorite on the CD, "The Great Escape" by BT, same title remix. Might want to cue it in 30-50 seconds. It's got the sensuous vocals mixed with some pretty energetic beats.

"Sunshine" by Aja-same X remix name, is heavier on the beats and does have some good vocals as well, if less of them. Not for those who don't like a fast beat, but sweet for those that do.

TV Rock Ft Seany B - Flaunt It

I think it's okay. My Girl loves it though. She does this whole dance thing.

    "Girl stop smacking my ass."

I wonder why she keeps on doing that everytime she puts on this song.

At the end of the day this song benefits me.

Thumbs up "Just Be" by DJ Tiesto

If anyone is looking for a girly techno style song that isn't too hard or too fast for work you might enjoy "Just Be" by DJ Tiesto featuring Kristy Hawkshaw.

"Just Be Me" off the Nip/Tuck ST?

Or are you talking about the Wally Lopez remix? (my fave)

Not as big a fan of the Antillas Club Mix though, kinda dated sounding.
I really have to thank everyone on SW for being the most supportive and awesome group ever!!

Off the new Promo Only DanceRadio CD: "Push It" by De Lorean. It's the Salt n' Pepa song, pushed thru a techno filter, with a stompy Benny Benassi sounding bassline. It's been going over really well and the girlies are fighting over it.

Has anybody ever heard of Aion? I used to play them all the time when I still danced. *sigh* Notable tracks are:
    Destiny
    Fly
    This Feeling
    Stop
    WhamBam
    (one of my faves!)
    Fall4U (another fave!)

I don't think you can buy the cd in the store though. I believe the cd I received was a copy of a promo. I think. It's great stuff though if you can get ahold of it. The only thing I can find online is a remix of Destiny with DJ Sharaz but there is also a radio edit version of Fall4U so maybe they got airplay at one point. I've never heard it on the radio though. If I ever get my ass back on soulseek I'll share if anybody is interested.

This might have been posted about while I was offline a ways back, but a quick search didn't turn up anything...

Depeche Mode "Precious" is a great song. It also won't offend those who don't like techno, as is generally the case with Depeche Mode. Good video, too--and I usually dislike those.

I have the CD but haven't really checked it out other than this track yet--will keep you all posted on it.

I am pissed about that new Gorillaz CD because it walked off somewhere, and now that I actually have time to listen to some of these gigantic stacks of CDs I've been buying, it's gone.

The Gorillaz are great, hard to classify, really--which is a good thing in my mind...
