My contacts fell out and I decided, "Well I suppose I should have some glasses anyway since the next time I get contacts I could lose them and be stuck in this situation again."
So, since I'm pretty vintage and geeky, I got some cute thick-framed glasses from Donna Karan.
At work I asked everyone in the room. "Seriously girls, glasses or without?" And a resounding "GLASSES!" went throughout the room with small side comments, "Glasses look hot on you." ... "Men love glasses."
Well, some of it was cool at first. "Do you wear those while on stage?" Yeah, I do. I can do pole tricks in 'em too!
But then night-before-last I got a customer, "You're horrible, you know that? You went out and bought fake glasses just so you can try to earn more money, I know it!!"
...I...bought...fake...glasses....WHAT?!
For the rest of the night I was totally being ragged on for having 'fake' glasses. I even handed them to the original guy and he's all, "Whoa, I can magnify Jupiter with these things!"
But, apparantly, they were still fake... o.O;; BUH?!
I've heard of girls getting glasses to wear for effect sometimes but HOW OFTEN does that happen, really?

Very cute!

I usually give them the "oh yeah I'm a stripper so everything about me is fake" as I cock my eyebrows and roll my eyes at them. If they want to believe it's fake, because it makes them feel better about the fact they have to pay for a woman's attention, let them I reckon. My usual retort above generally gets them backpedalling and then I proceed with some other wisecrack just before I ask them for the dance. For some reason they seem to like the smartass-ness because they almost always get a dance or 5
. guys love the intelegent girl look, i'm kinda sad i got LASK surgury done (needed it though, even with glasses on i couldn't see very well). if guys do pick on you for it calling them fake, just treat them the way we did in school, ignore them! they'll just miss out on a beautiful woman's attention.
