Last night I did okay. I didn't do many dances, but I had a customer giving me $20s to just sit and entertain him. He didn't stay long, so I had to get back to work fairly quickly.
I had a hell of a time selling dances last night. I watched all the other (hustler) girls doing dance after dance, with customers who had turned me down. I felt like I could have sold more dances, but my timing was totally off.
By about my fourth hour working, I was getting tired of being all "peppy" and talking to customers who kept turning me down for dances. The money was definately in the club, but for some reason it was very hard for me to make a sale yesterday. I eventually got to the point of "why bother". I KNOW I was doing a good job. When I put forth that kind of effort, I usually kick-ass and take names, but yesterday was so NOT my day.
I had guys say things like "I bought a dance from the other girl because you weren't here when I was ready".
Holy God! Am I suposed to be at all places at once? Or is it that the customers aren't all that picky who they buy dances from, as long as the dancer asks him when he is ready to go?
Usually when a customer tells me "maybe later" I take that to mean "no". I do check back, just to be sure. I know the reason why I wasn't making any money was totally something that I was (or wasn't) doing, but I just don't know what that is.
Any advice??
As a side note... The dancers that did very little hustling (or none) really didn't make a thing yesterday.

That's kind of what I do. If I'm really having a bad night and not in the mood to keep my hustle(which is very rare), I switch to "customer mode." I drink, talk to whoever I want to, enjoy the music, and forget about making money (just enough for fees and tip outs).
Sometimes I don't, but at least I don't go home all stressed out.

As for the bad night customer are full of excuses when they are broke. I notice I can do nothing right when they have no money. I hear 'why can't I touch your boobs' most often when they are broke. Your timing wasn't wrong they just weren't man enough to admit they had a tight budget that night. Don't worry, those Christmas bills will be paid off soon and then you'll be right on time again
