I really really enjoy my new dayjob, and see it as a real longterm career move. But I've been missing some of the fun of the club, needing a little something to do at night, more social interaction, etc. The one thing I miss most about the club is the quantity of social interaction, no matter how superficial. It was just fun.
So I started looking for something to do 1-2 nights a week, mostly to occupy some time and extra cash is always goodWas looking at service industry ads: server, spa attendant, cocktail, etc. Saw one for karaoke hosting. Don't have to sing, just be able to put in the right disk cartridge and push play when the song ends, announce the next singer, keep a rotation, etc. Nothing too difficult.
I applied, went to an interview at a show last night, got hired and started training on the spot. YAY! The pay isn't fabulous but with tips will be enough to make it worth my while, and it gives me what I wanted. One night a week of being in a spotlight, interacting with alot of people in a fun environment - AND I keep my clothes on. Oh and I get paid. Woohoo!!
I have to train again on Tuesday and then I'll get my own show this coming weekend! I'm so excited! I imagine this could be a decent side job for strippers - we are used to being in the spotlight and dealing with drunks, so it's something many could do. Not quite so glamourous but fun and getting paid are always a good combo![]()
