Hahahaha ROCK ON!
(I had the whole set of Jem Dolls and even some tapes!)
Maybe that's not something to be proud of afterall....
::walks away shamefully::
LoL I used to love Jem!! I had all the dolls and watched the show every sat *hangs head in shame*
What a bunch of little communists.
If some cultures were more willing and open to change they would do a lot better - look at what has happened in India since it has shrugged off socialism.
:grrr:

Jem!
She's truly outrageous!
on the show Robot Chicken (on cartoon network, they use dolls and stuff to make very disturbed skits) they had a fake expose news program. at the end of it the sketch went
"next week: Jem was she outrageous, truly, truly outrageous?" over a shot of a Jem doll standing before urinal to the sounds of someone peeing.
We can move with savage grace to the rhythms of the night
Cool and remote like dancing girls, in the heat of the beat and the lights

Gawd Blade, are you going to start a Rainbow Brite thread next?
Well, yeah, I'll admit I watched this because it was on between He-Man and The Transformers.
I rooted for that rival band they were always up against. They had all the cool hair colors. That and they didn't have that super computer hologram thingy helping them cheat. I'll bet Jem's alter ego was blowing that evil record producer guy too.
This article about sums the whole series up, or at least the first episode (and if you saw that one, you saw them all).

I dont know, Susan. I mean, she WAS truly outrageous at first, but then she seemed to have lost the desire. It was slow at first, but her descent to Non-Outragousness was very noticable around the time of the episode where she spends the whole day doing laundry. By the end of the next season she was really just phoning in her so called "outrageousness".Originally Posted by Susan-Va

awww....i remember Jem so well....would always watch the cartoon, had two of the dolls and the tapes (i'd even do silly dance routines to them)....good, good memories...thanks for posting that blade![]()

Oh my god ! I hade a whole collection of Jem dolls I loved them.

I always wanted Glenn Danzig and the rest of the ACTUAL Misfits to show up in cartoon form and beat the holy shit out of those corny girly imposter Misfits. Of course, Glenn wasn't all burly back then. Still....I KNOW the two overlapped timewise, I wonder if there was ever a lawsuit of any kind or anything. I'm gonna go look that up. Was the cartoon first? Hmmm. I'm pretty sure "Walk Among Us" came out in 82 or so. And that wasn't even their first album, just one that comes to mind. Wow, I digress. We need a Snorks thread now.
