    Default super blonde!

OMG! ok so I went yesterday to get my hair colored finally...I was going in to get my roots touched up and to try to pull the pink out of my hair (ps, that was only supposed to last 2 weeks, got it done in early NOVEMBER! lol, it was cute though).

Well, we could NOT get what little pink was left out..she was shocked..and kinda pissed haha. I told her don't worry about it, it's so light so not a big deal. So she asked if I wanted to go really blonde like I wanted to last time. I said sure, as long as I don't end up with damaged hair. Then she started telling me about something she did to another girl and she loved it. It's super blonde on top and then she did this zig zag underneath and colored the rest a darker color...so I did it!

I love having fun with my hair, but I'm hoping I didn't go "too" blonde.

It's PLATINUM blonde on top and a dark copper red underneath. It's a little "punkish" for me, kinda scary but kinda cool at the same time.

I'm just worried I went too blonde on top and maybe I should add something a tad darker. The back looks awesome though because the red shows through the blonde if that makes sense.

I'm looking for my camera, I'll take a pic soon and post it to see what ya'll think. I need HONEST opinions. I don't want to walk around looking like an idiot

it sounds like it looks great! kind of how mine is right now...really light on top but my color underneath has faded a lot so it's kind of reddish brown....yesterday i got some burgundy-reddish highlights put in with extensions and it looked so nice and punky it inspired me to get a little crazy with my makeup....but i took them out b/c they were put in at a class by a bunch of different people just practicing, and a lot of them didn't turn out just right and they hurt. i should have taken a pic before i took them out :\ i'm going to do it again though.
    take some pics!

MY hair is bleach blach blonde like platinum to the max.. I used to had brown underneath.. It looked great and really tones everything down If the red is too "punkish" for you definetly try a medium to dark brown

ok for you platinum blondes out there- I've been dying my hair myself for a while now to get it the super-light blonde that I like, because every salon that I went to couldn't get my hair platinum blonde. Dying my hair myself tends to be extremely drying and damaging though. For you girls who go to a salon to get your hair platinum- do you know what they do to get it that light? Maybe if I could tell the stylist exactly how I want her to do it, that would help? I'm sick of doing it myself, but the dye I use gets it the color I want. What do you guys suggest? My hair is naturally medium/dark brown. Should I have the salon bleach my hair, because I think that they always would just use the lighest color they have, not actual bleach. Thanks guys!

I just modeled for a hair show and the gave me an all over deep burgandy tone with a panel of blond all around one of my lower layers. This is gonna sound awful, but it's kind of a longer, modern Berlin look... it's so hot and rock-n-roll I love it!

Wear that punk hair proud, girl!

Honestly I think you need some richer colors... I personally dont like it at all. She needed to at least color the sides to match the crown.

I think the color is way too light for your face. If you want to be blond you need more of a honey blond to match your skin tone with a few lowlights (maybe a light brown)... it looks very harsh. The 2 colors dont blend well either... I dont like them together. This is just one persons opinion tho.

If you like it thats all that matters...

I like it, the two colorness of it. I don't know anything about them being the right color or shade or whatever though. I've thought about doing something similar because my hair if getting real damaged from around 7 years of bleaching it platinum blond myself.

i agree with audrey that she should've colored the sides to match the crown, but other than that i love it. i don't think it's too pale at all.

you're hair looks like it's in pretty good condition, too. is it?

I agree that you are too pale to pull off the very light blond around your face

wow! thats hot! too bad my hair won't die properly or i would totaly steal that style!!!!

oh and if you think it is a little to pale for you around your face just dust a little gold powder on the blond part. it would be so glamourus!
or just use a very little bit of bronzer or warm colored powder on your face to keep from looking washed out. either way you look great!

I think it'll be even hotter after a little mystic tan... Without make up or a little color on your face you'll look a bit pale in that light of a blonde. It's a really fun color!

I do agree with Audrey about the color matching the crown, I've seen dye jobs like that and they usually do it a bit differently regarding the sides.

And the bottom color doesn't look right, she should have picked a different color. I love the idea though and I think it'd be great on you. But maybe consider a honey blonde on top and a brown on the bottom and maybe a bit of layers in the back so the bottom color can show through.

thanks all! I'll try to figure out what to do.. What about adding some darker blonde highlights to to the blonde to make it not so blonde? keep in mind too, i'm at my palest at this time of year, lol.

And yes, my hair is in really good condition. right after the bleach it felt a little dry on top, but then I go home and treated it to some oil and it's doing good.

the red underneath is actually browner than it was orginally supposed to be, she added some brown to that color..it won't stay red for long, it'll come down to a brown soon.

so the consensus is, go darker on top??

summer i think you CAN have the light platinum, most people who go that light do have to change their makeup a little because it washes out the skin tone. i think if you like the bottom color then leave it, but i imagined it to be a little richer in tone, maybe you could have her drab it down a little with an ashy toner, or just go slighty darker.

to the girl who wants to know about going platinum on your own, well i would not recommend that, it's hard to get the back of your hair. tell your stylist you want to bleach it to a pale yellow or orange and then tone with a violet-blue base. the reason they haven't been able to do it before is probably that they didn't want to fry the shit out of your hair. and if your natural hair is darker than about a level 4 or 5 it may not be able to get that light in one session. if you have dark dye on your hair, even if it's grown out, where ever the dark dye was will take longer to bleach out. also if you put it on the hair from root to scalp all at once, you'll get really light roots and the mid shaft will turn lighter but not the same as the roots....lol. if you really want the platinum be patient and ask your stylist if she thinks your hair is in good enough condition to get there eventually.

summer i do think a little more tone on the top color would look nice but play around with your makeup first and see if that helps. but yes the bottom color seems a little brassy....

oh and i don't think you need the entire side to match the top, just putting like one or two foils on each side will make it blend better when it's pulled back. but honestly i don't think you have to do it like everyone else does...i think you should have fun with it and if you like it how it is then leave it!

just looked at the pics again, you're very pretty!

    sorry i keep adding....

if you added some darker blond highlights that will also give it more dimension and help it look thicker, you look like you have relatively thin fine hair on top (like me) and it helps to have dimension to help it look fuller.

lol i think that's all for now

thanks bg!..oh btw, where's my pics huh???

i totally suck when it comes to choosing color..can some of you post some pics of the blonde I should take it to?

And those pics were taken with very little makeup. When I go out, I know it'll look sweet because I'll have it curled in big spirals and my makeup all done up, but it's the everyday, light makeup, hair in a pony (remember, I have 3 kids and 2 businesses to work! lol) that I'm worried about.

maybe the main thing is having a bit darker around my face to "frame" it.

OH, and believe it not, the color that's under was the color I was born with! I was red just like that until I was abut 4! I should find a pic , lol

I'm thinking of going and getting a spray tan soon. there is a place here that the lady does it by hand and has been for years, so she has lots of experience, and it's only $30.

I'm so glad to have found people that will be honest and blunt when it comes to stuff like this! I don't want to walk around looking like a fool haha

i think you do have the right coloring to have blond around your face. it looks fine to me honestly lol.

i don't know about an exact shade, just tell your stylist to show you a swatch of say a level 9 neutral shade....but you don't want it to be too different or it will change the look of it to looking like highlights/lowlights. i like how it's solid colors now. you could also just put a toner on instead of adding the lowlights. i like it how it is now! lol post a pic with your hair done and makeup on and i bet the more of the girls here would say it looks good! lol

i'm gonna take those pics soon, i promise lol! i got the vertical dance online lessons and they are helping some...pole work is so hard when you have no strength, i'm starting to lift weights to help me with that.
