    Default Victoria's Secret Angel card

I went to VS the other night (yay!) and the sales rep told me about the VS angel credit card. You get free panties and half-off specials if you have a card, and there are "no fees." I didn't ask her about the APR, and I'm not totally sure a VS credit card is a good idea for me . Has anyone gotten one?

Yeah, I've had one for years... It's essentially like any other store credit card.. high interest. They do offer coupons and incentives, so what I do is usually make a purchase and pay it off immediately.

the interest rate is in the 20s, but if you pay it off every month, there's no harm.

^ Agreed with above. My mom had one, and the only crappy part was the interest rate.

I had one for a while, but the stupid coupons were so not worth it. You're better off getting a regular credit card with a low interest rate, or even better, good old fashioned cash.

I use to have one and now it's paid off. APR was 23% or something like that but it could have been because it was my first credit card too. It's easy to run it up. You get depressed and you're like yeah, I'll just treat myself to some new, pretty lingerie.

I used to have one a few years back. I didn't think the coupons were worth it that much. You could pay it off in the store in person, though and that was a big plus for me.

Besides intrest rates, I also ask if they sell or share your info with other companies. Vicky's does so you get more telemarketers and junkmail. They say there's a number you can call to tell them not to do that but I think it's too much of a hassle.

Between that and 23%, keep the friggin' coupons.

Besides the high interest rate, I love my VS card. From someone that doesn't strip very often, and has a regular job. I go and buy whatever I want then when I do go the club I pay it off. Plus I can use it at Bath and Body Works because they are run by the same company.

An easy small pick me up when I'm feeling a little down, some new bras and lotions.

From a financial freedom type of viewpoint, department store credit cards are never a good move. Hopefully you will not fall pray to impulse buying. That is ultimately who stores put their focus on. As long as you pay your balance in full everymonth, you should have no problem. DO NOT, and I repeat DO NOT pay the minimum monthly balance. You'll end up paying that off for years!
