    Thumbs up Extensions?

Hello all!! I'm a newbie and have yet to start dancing, but I have a couple questions about my hair... It's short, spiky, and blonde and chin-length in the front, and I was wondering if it would be better to get extensions? I'd have to wait about a month cause my hair is too short, and if I do get extensions, should I stick with natural ones? Do you get better clients that way? Or just as much if I were to go wild with the colors (cherry red, orange, yellow)? Thank you so much for your advice!!

I'm getting extensions (hopefully) on Saturday. Mine is about 3 - 4 inches long and a little longer in the front (grown out from a mohawk). Actually, it looks a lot like yours only black and a little longer. You will definitely need to wait until your hair is at least as long as mine, but 5 inches is ideal.

What type of extensions are you looking to get? In my opinion, the pinch braid method is best because you don't get that weird line from a track weave and the braid won't damage your natural hair with glue.

    Here is where I'm going:

they have some pics with examples of their work - pretty damn expensive, but it's worth it to me. I'm SOOOOO sick of having short hair. Yours looks cute, btw. For now I say go with the gel or if it really bugs you, invest in a realistic wig.

I'd recommend a good quality wig at work. Your hair is super cute, but SC guys generally want longer. Extensions on your length will show; a wig seems so much easier.

    Oh, and natural.

I would play up the short hair. It gives you that sweet, pixie look. Hair extensions would not look good with your short hair. You would have a bowl on top and it would be very obvious.

I think a wig is a bad idea for dancing. I tried wearing them many years ago and it was VERY high maintenance trying to get them to stay on through the night with all the movement and scalp sweat.

I have extensions (waist length) now but my hair is already bra strap length so they look very natural. I have tried many methods from clip-in, fusion, and now I have them braided/sewn in to my scalp. I like this method the best b/c it is the least damaging. Fusion glue felt like dried up boogers in my hair. YUK!

personally I think you are beautiful. I think it's you're own special look--who knows that might benefit you.
