haha....I HATE that....and it seems like I'm the only girl that has one.
Does this go away with dancing? As well as a little handle on the sides?
I'm not heavy, I just have a little extra...how do I upload a pic, and I will show you.

Do backwards sit ups. You know the ones where you raise your legs instead of your upper body.
Or if you have access to a pool.... it's called the dolphin kick. You swim on your back, knees and toes together and do basically a body wave thru the water. You can choose to use your arms in a typical backstroke or leave them at tyour sides for the best tummy workout.

I'm fighting a pouch too. I just signed up with a personal trainer and had my first session with her on Monday. I've been told that it takes cardio/aerobic (sp) exersise to blast the fat. I'm sure dancing qualifies.
You know, I have seven endometrosis operations and I have had a personal trainer, do pilates and do sit-ups pretty much daily. I can not get rid of it. About the only way I can get it really flat is to drop to an anorexic weight.

I know! It sucks.
All the girls I talk to say that theirs went away when they started dancing...

No, because when you're so skinny that you're considered malnurished, or anorexic, you'd be retaining water in your pouch area more than ever. Every Anorexic I have ever met (I had a couple friends) had big pooch's because of water retention and improper eating.

Ok, im gonna try this picture thing...I might do it wrong...
this isthe lovely pouch haha....oh by the way, ignore the pic, it was a costume party lol...

damn it, why is the pic so big?

you have got to be kidding me....
Do you know how many women, let alone dancers, would kill to have a stomach that looked like that!
Do some pilates, learn how to hold your tummy muscles tight when you bend over, but other than that you have nothing to complain about!

yes, your tummy looks fine. you have a beautiful body and nothing to worry about.

oh man, no way! I go to the club a lot to watch and oh my god those girls are amazing looking! They look like their stomach is so flat. Im so jealous lol

Hay Crazybeautiful28 I know some exercises and positions that can help with the tummy problem. I would be more than happy to help out after seeing those photos! We can make it one on one. Then we both get a work out

You look good. Mqaybe what you want is more of a six-pack effect? But yeah, I'd love to have a stomach like yours.

I have a pooch too. Even when I had my eating disorder, I still had it at 82 lbs (I now weigh 12. It won't really go away. Pilates may help, but I think you look fantastic and really do not need to worry about it.
Have some confidence in you appearence. If you are making good money for your area, then why worry about it?

Yeah I have the same thing... doesn't seem to matter what I do, it won't go away. My weight has gotten so low where I'll have no chest and my chest plate/ribs are showing horribly... yet the pouch remains. Frustrating as hell. My only condolence is that I guess this helps with stretch marks if I ever get pregnant... *sigh*

This is another one of those,"Am I hot enough to dance???" threads but more cleverly disguised.Ladies, just go to the club you are interested in working and see the answer(s) for yourself. If you don't look anything like the Elephant Man,you'll do fine.

people like britney spears piss me off. Damn her for having a flat (almost concaved) stomach lol. Well.....at least she HAD one....
but she did do like 500 sit ups a day right lol
You're fine just the way you are.... in fact you're better than fine.
Everyone has their insecurities, even those girls with flat bellies. You've got a lot going for you; you just need to focus on the positives more than the negatives.... I know it's lot easier said than done. But all in all your personality and confidence is what makes you the most money of all. Not a concave belly.
And for God's sake, Britney Spears is all air brushed, taped and tailored all the time. Any of us would look that good if we had 24/7 personal trainers and dieticians.
There are always going to be people more beautiful than you, you've got to learn to accept yourself or live the rest of your life miserable. If you want to change something on your body do it for yourself, not to try to look like someone else.
Honestly, I think once you are standing up wearing some platforms, you aren't really going to notice any pooch, which btw I don't think you really have. The dolphin swim will tone it up and make it look flatter as well as give you better control over it when your bent over or crawling, so will the backwards sit up, and you can also get more benefit from them if you put some ankle weights on when you do them.

i have a bit of a belly myself--its the only place on my body i carry any weight.
i hide it on stage by keeping a piece of clothing on, either a waist cincher that lets my chest hang out, or a skirt that i just pull up. sooner or later i'll get confident to lose those items (since i just started dancing), but for now theyre like my training wheels.
my tummy looks almost exactly the same. ive never gotten it to go away and have learned to live with it. in reality as much as it may bother us most people think our tummys look great!

I have a friend who got liposuction on her tummy and it went perfectly flat. But she watched what she ate and worked out regularly and that stubborn tummy pooch still came back a little bit... I think it's really genetic or something...

All the women in my family have it. Even at my thinnest, I had a little pooch. Heels will help flatten it out along with a healthy lifestyle.
You know how you tighten your muscles when you do sit-ups? Try doing that while you're dancing on stage or giving a lap dance you'll be working out while you're making money and before you know it you forget you're even doing it!!

I do sit ups and leg lifts and it doesn't go away....it gets smaller, but not enough to where I'm happy with it. I do think it's genes. My mom had one too at my age and she's a tiny thing.
Lbt, my ex boyfriend use to tell me he loved my stomach and I never understood it. People say that all the time but I'm like "whatever!" I guess you're your worst critic......
