    Default Financing plastic surgery

Not that I would recommend it but . . .

Here is a link I found to finance plastic surgery. Not that you SHOULD finance plastic surgery, but just in case you are interested . . . .http://www.doctorssayyes.org/land.php?

Did you have to put any money down? I am currently looking to finance, I don't dance anymore, I work at an entry level job, so I can't save up all the cash. I have a 680 credit score so I am a little scared to apply and be denied.

I work for a company that offers huge discounts on cosmetic surgery. It's a health benefit card. If you want you can check out the plastic surgeons in our provider list and see. People who don't have health insurance or they do have health insurance but it does not cover things like braces and cosmetic surgery use our discount card. On the left hand side of the website you will see a lady in a doctors coat click there for info on the medical and at the top locate a provider to see who is in your area. I am having my redo later this year, my boobs are 2 years old but I want to go bigger.

Interesting thread because i just saw this ad (or something very similar) in Cosmo magazine. Has anyone done this and used their doctors and happy with results?

I know I'm always bringing up allaboutplasticsurgery.com forums, but I'm on there and I've heard a lot of negative about this service. For one, they pick the doctor. 2nd, a few women reported it'd be cheaper if they went to the doctor directly instead of through this service.

They still deny a lot of people with bad credit too. The price quote is for overs, crease incision. You can't get more than 500cc either...from what they say.

I paid for mine cash but it took me 6 months. My BA was $4800 I had to pay $1000 when booking my appointment and then I made payment directly to them up until the day of my surgery. I had a chart and everytime I gave them a payment I shaded that area in on my chart which lead to my BA Day. lol It took me 5 months to find the right doc. Do your research on the doc as well.

I called that company. They wanted 1/2 down. $3500! I would have paid around $9000 for a boob job that I can get done for around $5000-5500 here where I live. Not to mention I can get a redo by my original doc for $3500.

If you can save 1/2 to put down you may as well just save the full amount which will end up a LOT cheaper than their service. And you can use any doc you want.

IMO - totally NOT worth it

My advice on saving for BA (Ive posted this before) - for those who CANT save (like me!)

Say you work 5 days a week. Save $50/day and at the end of the week get a CASHIERS CHECK in your DOCTORS NAME. Thats $250 a week. $1000 a month. You CANT spend it because its in your doctors name and "out of reach".

It will take you about 5 months to save for the BA. If its wholly possible to bypass the new shoes then youll save more. Next time you want those $100 Steve Maddens DONT GET THEM. Instead go to the bank and get that $100 into a cashiers check in the doctors name.

I also had the date set so I HAD to save the money and keep to my plan. I had 4 months to save the money and it worked.

    Good luck!

With that company I have to put down a total of $2300 and payments of $120 a month for 21 months. It depends on you credit, mine is really bad. Its not a bad deal, I have already spoke to another girl who went to the doctor they are sending me to and hers look great.

Yes I can save money and I do have money put away BUT throw in 5 kids, house payment, truck payment, doc and dentists bills its not that easy. I'm not saying we are in the poor house but we arent extremelly rich either. Payments are good for me right now and they are improving my credit. Trust me, my credit is a hell of a lot better than it was after my divorce.

The company has a good reputation. The only reason they pick your doctor for you is that doctor happens to be the closest one, or so they told me. I live in the middle of no where Iowa so it kinda helps.

but if you can make $120/month for a BA payment, why not sock away that money instead?

That way you don't have to pay interest and fees (you can actually EARN interest), plus you have a paper record of your surgery... (which obviously is important if you aren't being honest to the IRS, which we all know applies to most dancers.)

Saving the money is not hard if you are motivated to do so. Why finance and pay the cost of your BA and then some for a year or more after your surgery. every time i got my check i called my doc office and said take x-amount of money off my card. I used a pre-paid credit card because of bad experience with a credit card I had years ago. So, I put the money on the card and they took it off. It was a out of sight out of mind kind of thing for me. Sometimes if someone refers you to a BA doc you can get a discount and lower your price. www.1800beyourbest.com is another good place that offer good deals with board cert surgeons. They place no limitation on what you can have done, you can make payments up until the day of surgery and if you refer someone you can get a discount on your next procedure. The company I work for offer free advertising to surgeons and in turn they give our members a % discount on cosmetic procedures.

I used them. They make you use one of their doctors, but if you don't like that particular one, you can ask to see another one at no cost.

And to the other post, yes, you have to put down about $500 to hold the first consultation. Then it all depends on your credit. I had to put down about half of the surgery cost, (very bad credit), but I did in in payments. However, your down payment has to be done 2 weeks before your surgery date.

Please save the cash for your boobs. Emily and AudreyLeigh have made some excellent points on why and how to do that. If you already have so many bills and kids that saving is hard then you definitely shouldn't be financing boobs. This industry can change on a dime, it's risky, and you would probably sleep better at night knowing your boobs were paid for free and clear. It would take longer but it would be worth it.

I'm not judging, only responding to what I've seen over and over again at the club, dancers getting involved is so much financing that even making $3-500 a night, they're broke. Then if anything changes at the club, like increased contact they're not comfortable with, they're forced to stay and deal with it because they have so many payments to make. Own your own boobs outright!

OK,I am going to tell everyone my secret on how I paid only $2,500 for my surgery.Someone suggested to me that I call the largest hospital in my city and ask if they had a cosmetic surgery program.I did just that and sure enough, they did.A cosmetic surgery program is for plastic surgery students in their last year (residency) of their schooling. All the procedures are supervised by a board certified surgeon. The guy that did mine had done six women before me and showed me all the before and after photos and they were impeccable. They also charge the procedure on a sliding pay scale. The less money you make, the less your surgery is going to cost. It's been eight years and I still love my boobs.I highly suggest anyone that has a tight budget try this.My doctor has since graduated and opened his own practice in Shreveport,Louisiana.
