I just bought a long lavender see-through dress, I washed it in the gentle cycle with woolite and now looks all blotchy and discolored in the black light, can i fix this or will I have to throw it out?![]()

It's ruined. From now on, hand-wash clubwear! Always!
Baby shampoo is also a better soap to use than Woolite. Just wash it in the sink, and hang it up to dry.

Crap, thanks for the tip though.Originally Posted by Yekhefah

I hand wash all of my clothes too. Then I just hang them through the apartment. Hopefully that lavender dress wasn't to expensive Daph. Buy another!

Try hand washing it before you throw it away. Sometimes laundry soap will leave residue that shows up under the blacklight.

About 60$ but it was the fit I liked thinking a dress maker can copy it in a friendlier fabric...Originally Posted by cinammonkisses

What she said. I can't imagine a reason that it would be ruined, unless dye from other clothing got on it. In which case, soaking in hot water and re-washing (alone) might do the trick.Try hand washing it before you throw it away.
