So I was reading a certain heated debate here in the Lounge, and I realized something.
You guys are so smart! You can argue and insult each other in such subtle, roundabout ways, and you are able to deliver an apology that makes the insultee feel better, yet doesn't strip the insulter of his/her own ego. Then you keep arguing some more, with very valid points, expressed in a clear and appropriate language.
I have been getting increasingly angry at a certain thing that I've been noticing, and I really want to write a letter. I want to write a letter in a clear and organized manner to some big-shot magazine, so that everyone can hear me out. This thing I'm talking about is this "intentional illiteracy" issue, and I can't help but get my panties in a knot whenever I see it around.
I recently read an advertisement flyer where the company said "Ask about our kwik service"
What the hell is a KWIK service? Do they mean "quick"? Idiots.
Anyways, my whole point is to hear some advice on how to write an article/essay without blatantly offending people. I want to sound smart, because that's the only way people will read it. But I'm not very smart, or gifted when it comes to expressing my thoughts using real words and sentences.
Anyone?
