    Makeup

I auditioned for a club the other day and the manager told me I looked too young. Can anyone give me some makeup tips? I have no idea how to make myself look older. Thank you

Wow, I can hardly believe this. "As young as you can look but still be legal on your driver's license" is a really hot niche.

Tell him that's the image you sell. Some men like that pedophile look.

I tried and he said he wanted to sell the majority of men, not the minority. I thought the majority of men liked younger women

How about, [email protected] that club. Who knows maybe he used the "you're to young" as a scapegoat to not hire you. Go somewhere else.

No one look appeals to a majority of men..NO LOOK!

^^^ I tihnk it was partly a scapegoat. Not many clubs want to hire brand new girls that look really young, I think they are afraid they will have to put more effort into teaching them everything. I've worked at clubs that refuse to hires girls that haven't danced before especially if they look sweet and innnocent. I actually had a friend that was turned down because of this. The club didn't want to hire a new girl that looked so young.
I told to her to go in dressed as if she were clubbing...
Of course, I told her to check out a different club, and the next one she tried out at hired her immediately. She was soon dancing at the top club in town.
Check out how the stars use make up in magazines, not too many bright colors on the eyes, but definitely darker around the edges. Looks more sophisticated and gives the aura of being more mature,
Please don't lick me, it tickles..

Yep, a good nice black eyeliner pencil can help give your eyes the sultry sophisticated look... if you are not experianced with eyeliners and stuff, i would suggest going to a makeup counter, and someone there can help you out with achieving your desired look.
Yep...do not feed into catering the "majority" of what men want. It is just like with women.... we all have our different types of men that draw our attention... so do men with women. Good luck!

I have a VERY young face (people regularly stare at my ID like they're trying to burn laser holes through it!) and I have found the following about eye makeup:

A dark line on the top lid, towards the outside corner of my eye, makes me look sexier but by itself it also makes me look fifteen.

Doing the bottom lids as well brings me up to about eighteen.

Doing the top line as far as the inside top corner of the eye adds years (making me look my actual age -- early twenties) and so does smudging a little eyeshadow in that area. Think of where people might have fine lines in that inside corner, and add a little shading in that area.

It's barely visible to anyone who's thinking about it, but people use tiny eye lines a LOT to guess age. I have actual fine lines around my mouth, and people still think I'm a kid.

Some place will eventually hire you, make-up or no. For my part, I suggest you learn to look a little older, unless you *want* to attract pedophiles, who are NOT the best customers. When I started dancing, I looked (and was) young, and got a lot of customers who wanted to take advantage of a dancer they thought would be naive and impressionable. These guys are high-pressure, manipulative, never-take-no-for-an-answer types. I'm more than happy to have a few lines around my eyes and be rid of those chumps. If you can handle this type of customer and make money from them, go for it. But the dancers I've seen bank of this look and approach were actually very experienced and knew how to manipulate the manipulaters. Don't expect customers to "go easy" on you because you're young. Quite the reverse, in fact.

I'm 18 and without makeup, and if I didn't dress as I do I'd probably look like I'm 15 years old...witha boob job though. Haha. I suggest like other girls say using eyeliner helps to make you look older. Just make sure your hair looks sophisticated and well taken care of, and your clothes are not cheap young girl store clothes, but also sexy. Confidence is the key factor however. So when you go into another club where the managers are not jerks hold your head high. Good luck!
