    Default Facial fillers

I'm looking to have my laughter lines filled in. I've had 2 consultations so far and both doctors said the results wouldn't last longer than 6 months. I didn't want something permenant like Artecoll, but isn't there something temporary that lasts longer than 6 months?
    Thanks

I think you can use your own harvested fat and I heard from my housemom that it lasts a year or two because it's compatible with your body. Hope it helps. I love the idea of sucking my excess flab and 'redistributing'.

Try restalyne. the more you get it done the longer it lasts. Its lasting me close to a year now. Average to start it 6-8 months. You dont really want anything lasting longer than that incase the doctor is off with it or something. I think restayne would be an option for you. Check into it.

Thanks michele, I'll have to give restalyne a whirl next time. I just got the smile lines around my mouth done 2 days ago with colladerm. The doc says 4-6 months but it usually lasts more like 2 months. Restalyne costs more, but if it lasts so much longer its worth it.

Hey Michele1....could you tell how much the restylane costs? I'd love to know a little more about it. I tried collagen injections. I spent $500 for one session, and it didn't even last 2 months. (Was supposed to last at least 6.) I'll tell you guys what I'm doing for mine, and mine are really deep. I hate 'em. I feel like I look like a ventriloquist's dummy sometimes! Ugh!!!! Anyway, I found this product at Wal-Green. It's called "Sudden Change Instant Under Eye Serum", and although it's for your under-eye area, it works for deep lines also. It doesn't make them go away, but it does plump them up a bit. I'm telling ya, I'll try anything. Also, just this week, I'm trying something different - hoping that it will work even better than the under eye stuff. It's called "Hydroderm Fast Acting Wrinkle Reducer". I got it from the company **free**.....but free isn't always free, ya know. I had to pay shipping and handling, and you automatically become a member, and they send you the stuff every month and charge your credit card, unless you cancel your membership. I cancelled mine as soon as I got mine in the mail. If I want something, I'll just order it. I don't want any automatic shipments. But, anyway, I've only been using the Hydroderm stuff a week, and I can see a difference. Time will tell. Better than paying $500, I guess.

I tryed restylane,it SUCKS! It only lasted about 2 weeks, was $600. They said it was most likely because my body in general is a fast healer. Basically when i injure myself my body does heal rather quickly,so my body absorbed the injection REAL fast. I heard Radience is the next best thing, but its not yet 100% fda approved. But,they do use it in CA.

The restalynne you had might have been watered down. Some doctors do it. My body absorbs things quickly as well. I had fat in my lips 4 times and it only lasted a month each time. I also think it depends on the doctor and how well trained they are with injecting it. I had mine done by 4 different doctors and the last doctor who did it must be good because its lasted almost a year. Sparkle it ranges from 4-600 a vial. The vial they have now is larger than it use to be. Do you home work on were you go because one time I went to a very prominent PA in my area and he was off and it made my line on the right look worse. Thank god he only did one side because thats all I needed. Just do your homework ask for picures ask about training and how many they perform weekly and such.

I forgot to add radience is only supposed to used for th lips. It can be seen under the skin and gets lumpy so its not reccomended for facial lines. It also doesnt go away if theres a problem because it lasts 3-5 years. Though I have seen people get it in laugh lines its not recomended for that use.

I had Radiance (lasts 2+ years) injected into my laugh lines and my nasolabial folds. If anything, it looked worse. The lines seemed deeper.

    Radiance costs about $1200.
