Default I have a question as far as someone's authenticity...

I put my resume up on stripclubjobs.com and an agent contacted me and told me they wanted to sign me on to travel and dance under thier name. The company is raven girlz/raven models. I was wondering if anyone could tell me if it was legit. He is willing to fly me where I need to go, pay for hotel, and even has paperwork for me to sign. He even let me contact some of his girls already to talk to them about it. It seems pretty trustworthy and my gut is telling me to go, but I was just checking here first. His site is www.ravenmodels.com and the stripper site is www.ravengirlz.com if you want to check it out to see if its worth it.

    Any input will be appreaciated.

If you're still unsure ask what clubs he's booked his dancers at and contact them directly to see how it worked out.

It looks like a newish company. The website is well done, but the girls seem amateur-ish. I guess it comes down to how much he's going to pay you.

AS a model myself, FIRST find out if he is an actual photographer for the company, or if he is trying to "submit" your images to the company. Then, ask him for a list of references (telephone #'s only) no emails cause anyone can makeup a fake email address.

If he has "paperwork" ie. model release, ask that you are emailed a copy right now, to go over it with your lawyer. If he's a fake, he will be very uncomfy with that idea. If he emailes it, go through it with a fine tooth comb.

Ahhh I'm looking at the site now. They are a MODEL MANAGEMENT company. Ask him what clients use their services. Model managers are used to get you work. Kinda like an agent, but IMO managers are more shady.

I have said it before, and I will say it again:
Whenever dealing with agents or managers, always have a way out!! Don't trust that they will take care of all your expenses or that they will even do the minimum. Have enough money to get yourself home. If you show up broke and desperate for money, they can do awful things to you.

Otherwise, if everything works out please post here your positive expierence, so others can feel comfortable with using this agent.

If he is paying to fly you to wherever you need to go and is paying for your hotel, you better ask what percentage of what you make he is going to take from you. I don't know of any agents/managers that will pay all your travel expenses and not expect any money in return. I also was told to never sign an exclusivity contract (which means that they are the only agent you can go through until the contract is up, and you are basically their "property", in other words, if they have a booking for you, you have to go, because you signed the contract". Make sure you know what you are signing and make sure you get all the specific details of everything- especially your pay. Yes, travel is expensive, but you want to make sure that you don't end up having to give the agent 40% of what you make because he's paying for your travel- you're better off paying for your travel in that case.
Take the road less traveled- just make sure you have a map.

all he said is that the first trip is on him, and I pay the rest. I haven't signed anything YET so thanks for that last tidbit.

I do! Smart agents who get not so bright models to sign over all of their rights to images. It's easy. Pay airfare, accomodations, all expenses...then she is paid to shoot. After the images comes back, in most cases he can then sell those images off to whomeever he wants, thus making his money, and then some back.

I say do your own travel work so that you can cut out the middle man. In reality, there is no such thing as a 'model management' company. Either you have an agent who secures your work directly and they get a certain percentage or you do it yourself and keep it all minus travel expenses. I signed up with a 'model management' company which did no more than take 50 bucks from me and never call me again! An actual agent may pay for your expenses, etc, but they will want to meet you in person and assess your reliability, etc...
