Hey everyone, I'm a long-time DJ, but new to the Stripper Web thing. Here's a list of a few of the more esoteric songs that I have played once for a girl, and then every night from that point on they have requested them specifically.
Thievery Corporation: Pretty much anything, but specifically "Lebanese Blonde", "Focus On Sight", and "Shadows Of Ourselves"
Ozomatli: "Cumbia De Los Muertos" - Goes great with The Gypsy Kings "Hotel California" or Guitarra Negro" for a latin themed set.
Alabama 3: "Woke Up This Morning", "Mansion On The Hill", "Too SIck To Pray". These guys like long, quiet intros, so give it a listen first and program accordingly.
Argyle Park: If you can find ANYTHING by them, it's all great for that girl who's tired of the same White Zombie or Nine Inch Nails songs. Some favorites are "Doomsayer (Extended, Feat. Mark Salomon)", "Drive, He Said", and "Violent".
Boy Hits Car: Another good rocker group. "I'm A Cloud", "Going To India", "Man Without Skin", and "Lovecore" are the shit. "Going To India" has an annoying outtro though...
Eyedea & Abilities: "Now" - Underground hip-hop.
Sage Francis: "Smoke & Mirrors" - For the dirty girls.
Non-Prophets: "Damage" - For the Limp Bizkit fan.
Prong: "Snap Your Fingers, Snap Your Neck" - A great set with the Spiderbait version of "Black Betty", follow up with "Broken Peace".
Celldweller: "Switchback", "One Good Reason", "Frozen". - Another one for the Zombie fans.
Well, my fingers are getting tired, and there's a mixer demanding my attention, so I'll add more later. Check these out and let me know what you think!
