Default Strippers of the 90's; I need your help...

I am on a definitive search and discover mission to aquire any decent ALJO Fashions bra and tbar sets left out there. I found one on ebay (It's MINE)and just wanted to ask you all if you have any left in your closets. I am also interested in any of his heavily ornamented dresses and slingshots. Not so much the ones that just had a minimum of studs; I like the mirrors and etc. I used to have 6 (!!!!) of those sets; but they all got stolen. (had a storage unit cleared out 4 years ago). Please keep your eyes out and if you find any; let me know and I will gladly pay you for them.
    Thanks for any help!!

Damn, I got rid of a dress about six months ago; I fondly remember all of that highly decorated stuff!

Got any pictures? I know a few vets who are clearing their stuff out, but I don't know what to look for from a written description.

I have a really cute Aljo bikini. It's white. I would have no problem parting with it!

Damn I haven't even thought about that thing in a LONG TIME!

The only thing with Aljo is that while they're great for getting noticed, they suck for any sort of contact dances. Guys like to feel silky stuff, not hard metal, even if it's only "accidentally" brushing against you.

This is one of my fav sellers on ebay, she always has neat stuff. She has a few ALJO outfits up right now and some other outfits for dancing.

OMG,I remember when there were those Contempo Casual stores back then, they carried all kinds of 90's stuff.I remember watching Downtown Julie Brown on "Club MTV" and all the girls were wearing those mirrored and sequin bra tops.

Thanks for the responses all; I had already bid on the set on ebay but I see it's gonna be a war. Wish me luck!

Um; you had to buy AlJo stuff from him personally or from his catalogue; he came to the clubs with trunks about twice a year. He did not ever have any contract with Contempo Casual; they just tried to copy his stuff.A dancer who has had his stuff before can always spot the "real" Aljo stuff from the ripoffs..the quality is totally different; and he had a way of studding that was different from anyone else's.Hell; each set cost over $200+ new! (remember THOSE days? )

soybeangirl; take a look at it and give me a price and pic...would be glad to take it off your hands if you don't want it anymore.

Scarlett_vancouver; just check the ebay link above; there's a good pic there.

I just want the outfits for stage shows and personal interest. I am sure I won't be able to get close with them; I do remember how they would pick at clothes when I tried to dance. I am going to put breakaway clips on the sides and wear a smaller tbar underneath...part of the show. Used to do it all the time; got a great response!
Please; all; check with your friends and keep your eyes open; I am always in the market. Thanks again!

Does anyone remember Ziganne Swimsuits? They use to have a store on Hollywood Blvd and sold all of their suits to the girls at The Hollywood Tropicana, The Body Shop, etc. back in the 90's. Their suits were great. Here is a copy of the type of suits they use to sell, minus the rhinstones:

DancinDoll: In the early 90s I remember seeing a dancer with a similar outfit to the Ziganne - it looked like she just took a regular thong and slung the waistband over her shoulders (complete with the ultra-wedgie in the back). Wasn't sure on the effect she was going for, to be honest.

Ahhh, Aljo, slingshots, and 5" stilettos . . . now just let me listen to Stone Temple Pilots and my flashback will be complete.

My personal favorite was a pink halter/shorts/thong combo covered in studs and rhinestones. Made me feel a little like a trapeze artist.

Don't get into a bidding war! That drives the price up too much. Just snipe it at the last minute.

^^^^Good move. Those were some yummy outfits. I never had a bad night in those sets. Remeber you can still get them made by another costumer. And it would probably be cheaper than his were because the crystal/mirror thing isn't so common now.
