    Default Brazilian Wax Bumps!!!

Ladies, I have been getting brazilian waxes for a bit under a year now, every single time, I get really red..then within 1-2 days I get these disgusting pus-filled white bumps.. I use lots of hydrocortizone cream applied often, and it helps, but I really wish I could bypass them completely.. Any suggestions??

No but I tried a similar product from Sally Beauty Supply, I think it's called Bump RX, it stung horribly and didn't help the bumps. I've used it before for my legs, and it helped a lot..but it doesnt seem to help the type of bumps I get from waxing down there

You ever stop to think that you may be allergic to the wax? Stop using it...

I don't think its an allergy.. It's not a problem in other places, just there, my friend gets the same bumps..

Is it possible that they're ingrown hairs gone extra bad?

So..when your waxer sees these bumps, what does she do? What does she say? She should be TRAINED on how to handle this, not just know how to apply wax, and rip it off.

Also, I agree it just may be seriously bad ingrown hairs. Buy some Tendskin..i've heard good things.

I think this is somewhat common although I don't know the severity of the bumps you're getting. I get what look like tiny little pimples after I wax. There are not many of them though and they resolve quickly. How long are these lasting on you?

what kind of wax is she using on you? with a strip or without? what color is the wax? blue (lycon or whatever is the name) works the best on me. does she give you sweet almond oil to put on right after? or something else?

you might want to skip any kind of oil. Either pre wax oil or post wax. There are plenty of cream wax removers that are just as effective as oil and won't break you out as much.

You might want to try another salon/spa that uses a different wax to see if that's the problem. When a cosmetic or product breaks you out you genereally have to use a process of elimination to determine what it is. In the mean time, I would use witch hazel or the AUTHENTIC tend skin (only 2 a day) and use Desitin creamy diaper rash cream at night before bed.

    Good luck.

They are pimple-like, they aren't ingrown hairs, the bumps don't form til a couple days after waxing, I honestly think it's from the trauma to the skin of having the hair ripped out, umm it is a golden colored wax and she uses cloth strips, she also does apply some kind of oil in the end, I did notice right after waxing but before the oil she used some kind of packet that looked like a clear gel (didn't really see) and felt kind of cooling once put on, I'll have to ask about it..They do go away within a few days too, I just wish I didn't get them at all... the oil thing makes sense tho, I mean if it breaks me out anywhere else why not down there too..

Tried witch hazel yesterday, no change.. Will look for Tendskin but afraid it will burn.. Thanks for all the responses ladies!

Try Johnson and Johnson's ointment for diaper rash. I use it and it helps a lot. Costs about $3 or $4 at Walgreen's:

That and deodorant which helps too.

Maybe you should try an epilator to see if it's waxing that irritates your skin.

Also, wear cotton undies and change them often (more than once a day), and AVOID SWEATING!!! Sweat is the worst for bumps! Use deoderant or something
