    Default Leptopril

Okay...I'm fully aware that this stuff is supposed to be for really overweight people and I'm not at all, I just have stubborn tummy fat..and I'm lazy. I've been taking them for three weeks and I've dropped 15 pounds but omg do they ever make me feel...weird.

They make me NAUSEOUS and feel like my head just isn't screwed on straight, sort of like when you take heavy painkillers. I'm not on any other medication so I know it's not a conflict making me feel this way, but I can't handle this anymore. They work so well but I can't function this way.

Has anyone else taken this stuff? Is this a normal way for it to work or am I just intolerant to it? At any rate...I don't know if I'd recommend this stuff to anyone. If it works by making you so sick you can't eat then it's not good stuff at all.

You don't need that junk. Just do crunches everyday, watch what you eat & you'll be fine...

So what I'm thinking from that other thread is that i'm just sensitive to it...I mean, if you used it too and it didn't make you feel sick It just must be me.

Of course, I find something that works and I can't take it.

Try starting out with a lower dose than suggested by the bottle then build up to the full dose, your body is probaly just not usto it yet.

Uh, if it has ephedra/ma huang in it and you're feeling sick from taking it, stop.

Not a good idea to take those products for more than a few weeks anyway as they're hard on your heart.

Even if it doesn't . . . anything that makes you drop fifteen pounds in three weeks has kicked in a starvation mechanism, which means that in the long term it's going to put you at risk for obesity. Bleh.

I still think that if someone isn't overweight then they don't need any drugs... whatever happened to good ol diet & exercise?

I feel the exact same way. A pill is not the all cure all Yes, popping this pill and that pill today will (not always though) give you the body that you want but think about the effects that it has on your body internally? You're body can only take so much abuse. Stop feeding it poison.

I agree with diet and excersize but believe it or not, sometimes some of us need a little more help. When I was born almost my entire stomach wall was ripped open, like a massive hernia. Therefore, my stomach muscles don't develop like a regular person. Even when I was a ballerina and dancing 8 hrs a day and eating 1200 calories a day, I still had a layer of fat on my stomach. This isnt some sob story, just a reminder to those who are quick to judge that every girl's body is different. Thats why even girls who are in incredible shape still get lipo.

Having said what i said, Anything worth doing is difficult. Fair enuff to lose kilo's, but more importantly tone and improve the appearance of ur body. So taking drugs, medicines or overnight miracle diets may be all well and good but all u'll be left with is flappy skin if you dont do it the right way.

Actually, it doesn't kick your body into starvation mode. It does the opposite. It speeds up your heart rate which kicks up your metabolism a bit. It's not healthy. Not at all. There is a reason that this medication is for extremely obese people...who have the choice of dying of health complications or losing weight without stapling.

If you are having side effects of this product and are still taking it, then you are asking for problems. Don't be foolish and lose your health so you can be a little thinner. By the way...as soon as you stop taking these pills, if you haven't cleaned up your diet and gotten onto a good exercise program, you will gain all of your weight back and then some.

You may want to make a visit to the doctor for a full check-up...make sure that your body is in good condition. These pills have a tendency to "pop" up any "irks" that your body has...and like people who abused Ephedra...if your body is not able to handle the drug, you will die or your body will be damaged for the rest of your life.

Sorry, wasn't clear. What I meant was more to the effect that when your body NOTICES rapid weight loss, it will frequently try to compensate and hang onto fat more seriously, because it thinks you're going to die. That's why bodies gain the weight back and then some.

exactly. Weight training is essential! I used to only do cardio & yeah I was losing weight but i had no tone/definition. Only until recently I started weight training 5x a week & a little cardio my body is beginning to look really nice, finally.

ok..Kitty & OTB i have a quick question for you two. do your leptopril pills have ephedra in it? most the diet pills i've seen where i am (it is illegal in some states) dont have ephedra, including leptopril. so i was just trying to figure out if its the stuff with ephedra that works where as the other stuff dosn't.

JettaNyx, the leptopril I bought (I'm in Canada) doesn't have ephedra in it since it's illegal here. I'm not saying leptopril doesn't work, because it does, it just made me feel all freaky. I only took two a day where the normal dose is supposed to be six or something. I think I'm just sensitive to stimulants.

ok, i was just wondering (i dont know much about things in canada not many states in the us allow ephedra either). but yea, if you are having issues with it definantly stop taking it, there may be something more mild that might be better for ya . thanks for the reply too
